I would agree Pete.

But to win the 944 class you only have to keep it under 1.14.5. I would have thought a very mildly modded Cayman - something with a cage and probably in targa spec (i.e. still with some suspension travel) could probably circulate in the 15's without too much fuss - and would be a class winner.

Actually the one to get is a 2.9 as you can race this in the under 3.0 targa class.

They felt "squdgy" at first (nice work huh) but as I got harder and harder into corners, eg 60% they felt better as the day went on. After a couple hundred K's she felt home on them. Didn't notice any gearing difference but the at under 2% difference only a pro driver would.

Nice sunny dry morning with very little traffic.

I actually bought the black one. A good friend however has been for a spin in it and now wants one as well so hence I'm on the hunt.

I would be keen to go to 997, hence keen to find either as my mate would take my one if I went 997.

Any leads on owners names would be appreciated.

Sounds good to me. They must be thin on the ground and expensive over there.
The SC was ***** to the wall today keeping pace with the moderns. A good dose of cockpit gymnastics with arms and legs in full work out mode had the old girl rowing along nicely. Soft pedal points to a bit of loving in that department.

Porsches weren't officially imported to Indonesia in the SC era and import of secondhand cars isn't allowed so they are vined as existing VWs or non driving works of art.

Why is this still for sale?? seems cheap at the asking price, couldn't even buy a C2 in Japan for that let alone get it here and comply it.

I wondered the same then realised I wouldn't know whether to restore it as a good road car or take it the track route.

See you next Sunday at Playday.

Great drive this morning, thanks Doug/Dave. My car had 100's of flies all through the radiators, wheel arches and even inside the wheel barrels. Felt like the beginning of a B grade horror movie as I cleaned the car!

There was a 997 listed here for a long time. Unsure if it sold or not. http://www.rsconsulting.co.nz/

Noticed a white 996 come up in Japan (LHD) with a start bid of ¥3,980,000.

Coincidentally, I think this may have sold today (not to me).
