I have sunroof option which lowers roof 1"but cant recall if you have same. Might be one of us had odd body shape LOL!!
I must be because I sat in your seat and was just about touching the roof with no helmet on. For me, I think the seats and steering wheel are the last things I really need to do to have a car that fits the all round purpose. However the seat needs to be on sliders and I need to get clearance with helmet on and sunroof. Basically I need about 2 inches lower than the current standard seat and it will be perfect. But I don't know how to be sure that a ProfiSPG XL or Sparco Evo 3 will give me this clearance once installed.

If I can't get this outcome then I just don't think I can live with it as a regular track car as the seating position is always an unnatural feeling compromise.

The wheels I've ordered are 964 offsets so will fit without any spacers. Values will only be undermined by copies as I don't recall seeing any older genuine Fuchs on a 964. I figure/hope that these will hold their value better than most.

As for back dating, guys don't get in a lather. I'm not going to spend Turbo 3.6 money to end up with an inferior car. I'm just looking to add elements as I go e.g. a ducktail, AP Design clear headlights a la Singer. Nothing crazy or irreversible.
And so it begins, John.. Assume the position and think of the Fatherland.. Don't forget to budget for a new shoe closet when she gets a whiff of the end cost...Look forward to seeing the Fuch's au natural

John just be careful if you fix your seats in position and take it to VTNZ. The muppets there will not give you a warrant and will want a low volume certificate as the car will now be "modified". Happened to me, really peeved me off. I had the same problem with height which is why I went fixed position, Racetech 4009 seat from Chicane, Shane is a good bloke to deal with. I still have a seat, mounting brackets and 5 point Sabelt harness if you, or anyone else for that matter, want to try it, however, as I am skinny, it is the normal size seat, most people go for the "wide". All the above is in Auckland. Cheers, Craig.

Suspect the landed cost in NZ would be more than you're paying for originals. Works really well with the duck IMO.
This car rocks - do you have any more pic's?

New Hardware Team. That's my memory failing!
It looks like the Kiwi 993 GT2 Le Mans effort was a 2 car affair in 1996:

Hey John. This is how the slope starts mate! Love the idea of the AP clear head lights and the ducktail spoiler too. Getting a good fit and finish on the spoiler will necessitate the use of a good panel shop. That seat Cbnz has may be worth checking out for you. Then youll need a nice three layer race suit, some decent driving shoes and a good helmet that doesnt sit too high (probably will need to look at the Stilio carbon range as they will save you 1/2" in height - its what San uses)....

No one starts out intending to spend this much on a car, it just happens. Before the year is out youll have 70k in it and the list of "wants" will still be a page long. Best join the Jimmy Choo loyalty discount plan now mate and start shopping for the flannel PJs LOL!

Lives short. There's no qualifying lap. Go with it and enjoy it!

Nik. Interesting stuff. I have all this ins the LeMans Sport books from 1996/7. Also so material/book printed especially for the team after the LeMans assault. All makes interesting reading. I did think there were two cars but Im still unsure if the silver car in your video ended up being converted by Parr Motorsport in the UK. I do know that the other NZ "road" GT2 did get converted and never made it here.

Erik Waanders & Greg Clarke provided me all the official 993 import numbers in 2011 and Ive just looked at that - shows only one "official" 993 GT2 was actually landed in NZ in 1996.

That would be the perfect plan for Matts car! He already has the suspension, just needs the duck tail & wheels. David are you listening?

Oh, and the RS rear bumper and those techart style front bumper aero thingies...throw in those clear headlights from AP and a half cage colour coded to the exterior with some X221 track rubber and a little more negative camber and lowering and some nice sparco race seats and BANG!
