Somewhere I remember him mention financing his cars. Nothing like debt to focus the mind on what stays in the garage!

Too true, particularly if the ability to replay finance determines if it puts food on the table or not. By his own admission this was the case. In every interview or piece involving C Harris and Porsche the 4.0 comes up. I watched (yes the while thing) Rogans interview with him and you could see the discomfort and ruefullness

A few flicks from Mexico. We love Mexico for its cultural diversity and ancient Mayan, Aztec, Inca history and ruins. Second time for us having in 2012 covered Teotihuacan (North Mexico City) & Chichen Itza (South Cancun). Have travelled almost 40 countries with specific interest in ancient ruins & cultures (probably explains a degree in archaeology!) and central America has thrown up some superlative examples. Peru is another hot spot. 2017 hopefully.

People have the place so wrong I think from American movies. There's large metropolitan cities and towns with some of the coolest bars & restaurants and very impressive architecture. The food, music, coffee, alcohol all very god and reasonably priced. The boutique hotels we have stayed in are some of the funkiest we have stayed anywhere. We wouldn't have visited the country a second time if we didn't rate it - and many many people do - highly recommended...

Thanks for sharing Macca and nice to get some direct reportage. Have to admit I'd mentally binned Mexico too, based on the crazy kidnapping and murder rates in the north.

Between you and Graeme lately, my bucket list is not getting any shorter!

Yes, I suspect the beaches themselves are not too different, but the toppings are much nicer...

Have never felt at risk in Mexico, nor heard nor seen any drug related stuff. I think thats all happening up on the boarder with USA. Infact, including Mexico city would have to say its one of the safer developed world countries we have travelled.

We are heading for some of the best waves in Mexico - their version of Pipeline on Oahu - apparently a very good break and ranked up there.

Check this out. Our good buddy Lars from these boards in his 997 Cup car with sequential shift and slicks hunting down a couple of GT3 owners on the track! Listen to those straight cut gears. Lars can drive as many know. Chromium24 is his call sign. His cup car is good for 1.51 on that track. One of his mates was out there first time in the white GT3 for a 157. With a bit more they think 155 on the MPSC2. Lars also has the new GT3 as his street car (he's owned all of them) and the speculation is if on slicks with same semi pro driver could be close on the 2007 Cup car time on slicks at 1.51 with sequential (his is well developed podium car I believe). Paul that may answer the question of lap times for HD. This is fun to watch...

You should just buy one out of Aussie - will only cost you $10K more and there is more choice........

The Autohaus one is sold. I'm off to Sydney so thought I'd check out places to visit. Time to check out the place next to the bridge, I think.
