Dog is a staffy.. one reason I sold the T was the difficulty of lifting him into the back ,plus him trashing what was a very nice car
I have looked at the $50k Boxter, but am #3 in line.. someone is getting it looked at by MotorScience today
Looking at Cabrio 911s, mayhaps I can lift the dog over the side AND I've never owned a convertible..
took too long on that 996T Cab in ChCh..

Staffys are great, love their nature.
Only have the SC now, but have a GT4 arriving next week, not sure how long I will keep as life is too short.
There's a White 997 Cab but I thought the kms could be a bit high for you, also I don't think you can do track or driver training in a cab due to no roll protection, I'm sure the right car will appear.
Graeme, Mark H had a single axle one made, slightly thinner so he can fit it into a container, Im thinking the same as it has to fit under the hoist, he seems very happy with it. However it's double the cost of the traditional option. I need a single axle as it will need to be pushed into it's park by hand whilst turning hard left which is very difficult with dual axle.

Great looking trailers Pel. I am no trailer expert but would assume that weight distribution on a single axle will be much more important, especially if loaded with a 911 with its weight balance. More bounce on and off the tow bar.
Not an issue towing down the motorway to HD but more bumpy roads to Taupo, Manfield or some parts around the South Island

4.0 manual sounds pretty good, the redline will be the interesting thing though, will it be the mythical 9k?
Just Googling a list of high reving engines it makes for good reading, I want them all!
Two F cars are right up there, 355 and 458 Spec, great engines
Lexus LFA, amazing cars, shame the gearbox lets the whole side down, still probably worth it though.
Audi R8 V10 revs to 8,700 apparently, another great car. I drove an R8 GT a little while ago and was pleasantly surprised about how good it was, a lot more playful than I expected.
Ferrari F12, who wouldn't want one of those.
The 918 and LaFerrari, a little bit unobtainable on those two!
The 991 GT3 of course
I have been on the hunt for a tidy Honda S2000 for quite some time now but have yet to find one. Might eventually resort to importing one.
Also if a nice Honda S800 ever comes up in NZ I'd be pretty keen.
Would nice to gather some high revving beast and record them singing. Who needs torque anyway.

Pel, the ability to do track or driver training days still has appeal, which is why I was looking at Boxters and caymans. Doug can do all these with the roll bar set up in his Boxter
I'm in no hurry.. something will pop up
Maybe import a Cayman or Boxter with PDK from somewhere.. Dog can sit on the front seat

Yes. I have an order for one. 4.0L, both MT and PDK will be an option. It will rev to 8600 and make around 495PS. Torque will be increased in the low/mid range I suspect to around 345lbft. The final asthetic has been known for some time since it was leaked accidentally. The GT3 Cup reveal a few months ago confirmed it. GT4 style front bumper/splitter with no rear bumper grill (now located on rear engine lid). The rear wing is mounted approx 25mm higher than the 991.1 GT3 and the front lower bumper has more surface area so downforce will be increased a little. Wheel/tyre options and sizes look identical. Ring performance should rival the outgoing RS. The new GTS just recorded a factory official 7.26 on road tyres (they recorded 7.22 on Corsa too), so in outright terms the new GT3 has its work cut out for it.

Not as obvious as the 1:18 scale model of the 911 GT3RS which was circulated 6 months before that car was unveiled but still of interest.
Porsche Netherlands launched an online tool which inckuded a rendering of the new GT3 about 6 months back. It was removed immediately but has since born out to be true 100% to the final car which will be released in four weeks time...the latest "spy" photos of the car a few months back testing at the ring with minimal camouflage.
