Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
So some up close and personal spy shots of the new GT3 RS have broken (supposedly, you can never know for sure!) see below:

Those vents on the haunches seem a bit much if it is non-turbo like people are expecting?
I have 2 GT3 related things from all the talk about them a way back
1. If anyone does own or knows someone who owns a 996.1 GT3 that is in very good condition and has never had significant accident damage and is willing to sell please PM me.
2. 997.1 GT3 RS are held in high regard, are the not the .2s poor cousin though? Same questions with the non-RS's I guess?

Praise IMO. Admittedly my repitoire of porsche ownership is more limited than others on them GT3 boards but in my opinion for my use (touring/track/DD when in NZ and fast B road) it's the best car I've owned to date. I think the 991tt would better it as a DD and all season tourer. It's been interesting watching the "mighty" fall ( pervious gen GT3 and RS owners) slowly but surely into 981 GT3 & on up and coming rS wait list as they slowly but surely get seat time in the new GT3 - granted most of these folk are track guys.
The 991 GT3 has Been a slow burner because it was removed from market for almost 8 months. Now it's starting to gain some ground swell it's no longer available to order in some markets. I see EVO and others finally putting it against others again after a long hiatus.
I'm looking forward to the new RS when it arrives. It's going to be a facinating car for Porsche and will be an interesting top trumps card. The GT4 is intriguing too. One thing us for sure we Re spoilt for great new kit right now and it's all dirt cheap relative to incomes house prices and stock market gains over the last 5 years. Relative of course!
Paul. You clearly need to sell your 993 quick smart and buy a 964 C2/4 brother. This 964 thing has eaten you up. I'm more than happy to hold the banner and say I've never parked my car up next to a 964 C2/4 and wondered if I had made the right decision. And if what you reckon about values becomes true then even more resin to own 993 so it can be driven without fear. Otherwise they are just antiques sitting in the shelf.
If you had really wanted the 3.6t it would be in your garage I reckon :-)
John. Richard is loving his GT3 but London isn't the best place for these cars. If you can get you head over the "aircooled is better because it's purer" thing then there is an interesting world if new and used GT3 turbo and Cayman etc options out there. Without doubt the new GT3 is as close to an everything car Porsche have yet produced....till the next one!!

And now something to show that perseverance and engineering practice makes perfect....

Thanks Buba. Its certainly one of the most "infamous" in NZ going by the number of people who ask me if I have sold my car (dinner the other night one of Ron & Patsy's friends we drive with said they had been told it was on TM for a few days then take down! Talk about chinese whispers - I think Ive been asked at least a dozen times why I sold it!). Lets see if we can make her shine again on Sunday. Hasnt been run for almost 4 months so definitely needs and Italian tune up!

Just been back down to CCS and the Midnight Blue Turbo 3.6 was there so I had another nosey (not sure why it has been there so long). The original service book is missing as is the original manual (it has a C2/C4 manual not the Turbo 3.6 version). The duplicate service book doesn't have an option build sticker. The one under the bonnet is in a strange position and looks too new. As far as I know the car is not for sale so this information is probably irrelevant but I just wanted to make sure the status is known as I was saying I thought it was an X88. It may well be, but I can't categorically state that. Trainspotting session over, normal programming can resume.
Not likely - but I'd be happy with anything in the 1.16s. Currently I have more laps on the 993 at taupo than hD but I'm hoping Stu can help.
Sam. I emailed you re Sunday. It went to your work email. Drop me a line....
