You couldn't buy the land under a letterbox on landscape road for that these days. Kiwis in the Switzerland of the South Pacific should have no issues digesting these new relic Porsche values. Seriously. Cash is cheap in NZ and property values have gone up 50% these last few years in Auckland.

These cars are a sure fire future investment after all! They will be worth a fortune one day.....

Auckland house prices have been fairly static for the last 12 months (maybe 5-10% appreciation for houses that will always be in strong demand) - the boom times where 2-3 years ago and this reporting of a continuing boom is a bit false IMHO??

I should put it on TM for $100K even for a Tipo... I wonder if the Commerce Commission track Rennlist collusion?

I wonder if there'd be enough around owned by people who will actually drive them in anger to organise some air cooled only runs. (No disrespect to the water cooled boys, just a bit of nastalgia)

JohnM
Sam
Pel
Doug - when Lola's fixed
Paul M
Macca - yes, when in the country
Dave - eventually when the Orange T is finished. What will you do with all that spare time Dave?
Some other blokes in 964s from the cars and coffee brigade.
Mark Hellier - pack leader :-D
Ralf
Razzo

Hmmmm..... This could be fun.

Hey Paul, never cut short a good pump and dump!

Steve - great stuff. You're making me homesick for Queenstown and I only lived there a few years.

More reason to get in on the classic 911 aircooled bubble. Most Aucklanders have stable property valued with large backed in profits from the last 2-3 years, cheap credit and its the perfect storm for converting to an asset class with higher appreciation opportunities over the next few years.

Aircooled 911s have increased in value by 30% in the last 1-2 years. Why would you not?

Steve. Just make sure you dont under priced it. Yours is by far teh best condition, low genuine mileage 993 C2 tipo in New Zealand (at least to the best of my knowledge and I am being serious).

Pete. I really like that Green. Actually Im thinking Mexico Blue may not look right on the Cayman GT4. Im definitely keen on PTS however. I tried to get it on the GT3 but missed the window. The Carmine red is nice but I wont pay PTS option money for it. Im actually considering taking my time and coming up with an entirely unique colour. I have an invite to Singers workshop early next year so will be seeing if they will share some of their colour pallet with me. Ive seen a couple of Singer colours could look wonderful on the Cayman. Price is the same for PTS whether you select from the list or go through testing.

Nice one Steve. I'm planning on passing through around Easter next year.

Your local roads are very very nice. Absolutely love driving the South Island

I've always had a thing for Viper green but having seen it on a few 987's I think its better suited to the older cars. Mexico blue though I think really suits the newer cars - so don't give up on it. A lot of the current trend seems to be in the duller grey variants - can look very 'cool' but I'm not sure how well they'll age. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for the bright colours.

Kim drove the Cayman to Cambridge and back today though - apparently I'm not getting it back - so I guess that'll force a 964 purchase just so I can join in a Dougie run
