Given logistics we can put the spare set of RSG race wheels on for 13/12 and take the existing wheels into town for new Toyos (ugh). I'll put new pads in the front and possibly the rear.
Btw I'm assuming that there is still interest in running BB for a while yet

Graeme. what new Cayman GT4 information have you learned?
What I know now is the vehicle will be called GT4. It appears it will use off the shelf parts from other models including 3.8S engine, 991 brakes. The one piece bucket seats from the GT3RS/918 will be available as an option. The front and rear bumper aprons will be unique to the model. 20" wheel fitment. MT & PDK. Unlikely to be significantly lighter than base model. Possibility 3rd radiator for cooling. Price target 90K USD before options and tax (thus 170K base in NZ).
Theres a good chance I will order the car dependant on final spec.

You know more than me on spec Macca but it was referred to on an official Pcar release somewhere and I just happened to see reference to it. Comment from Journalists was that first time it has been officially acknowledged

Yes Graeme. It was posted as a model option for Porsche driver experience on the Porsche official USA site. A few on RL screen captured and posted it before Porsche took it down. It confirmed that indeed it is a real model. General consensus is 3.8L 380-400 bhp.
I'm still keen to give her another nudge sometime when she's back to spec - have only run her in the dry that first day. Some nice times to chase!

keep me updated on any news re gt4
crown range - 964- great stage, the torque in the air-cooled engine evident with not so much need to change gears. whereas our turbo restricted engine runs out of breath early so bap, bap, bap up and down the box

Will have to have another go at bb. Ive only had Three sessions and only two in the dry.
Had a wonderful day today with the 944 . She is fast and light and handles beautifully. Managed a 1.19 so should be able to make her competitive. Missed the abs but tried to be really smooth and loved the balance in the corners. Can recommend to anyone. Thanks to all the guys for help and assistance.
The GT4 sounds like a weapon. Hope,it looks the part.

You are going to spend all your motorsport cash fettling the 944 now and gt3 will not see much track action. And so it be too. If you have a race car that's what its for so why thrash the gt3 right?

yes the GT3 should have an easier life now. The 944 is specially made to, hopefully, last and as Chris said today ,he had 5 years of hassle free racing for little expense. Changed the oil once a year and did a couple of clutches and tyres of course. Sounds like a good idea.
Can't compare the costs to a GT3 at Playdays.
