No its a different car Paul. The one which had the accident was ex Singapore and higher mileage. I checked the rego on this one and its not that car. I think that car went to one of Max Fletchers clients down central NI somewhere.
I'll be keen to do that date. Based on last year we had a bit of a lull after the NITT. However there are a few people not going and a few new members. I'll send out an e-mail and see if we can get interest in an RSG Group and then if we can I'll go negotiate with Gary & Tony.

Catch up
Speed read the countless pages between when I last posted and now. You guys have been busy. 993's have come and gone on Trademe, with not one but two Turbo's (one in RUF guise) still there. Someone buy them on my behalf, please!!
Doug, so sorry to read about your off. Really gutting mate. Good to see you're ok and taking the pragmatic approach to bringing her back to life. From the sound of things you might take the non standard route, which I for one support. 100% OEM is for garage queens, take advantage of the opportunity and make her your own. Look forward to the end result!
John, your management of BB should be commended. Clearly out to realise all value you let the pads wear down to the absolute minimum No one better to manage the finances of the 2k Race Team! Interesting to see Macca pull out before getting a lap, clearly the risk of competing on a level playing field was too great...
Coming back to winter has been a bit of a shock to the system. Temps reached 44 degrees while I was in Japan. Almost too hot, but I won't complain. My attempts to rent a 'sports car' were foiled by a breakdown in communication; turned up to grab the keys to what I thought was something interesting, only to find myself standing in front of a Mazda Roadster. Not quite what I had planned. Once I was over the shock and actually spent a bit of time in it I was pleasantly surprised. Very capable little car. The balance clearly shined when trying to find a group of surfers we were supposed to be meeting on a very long, very wide, car friendly beach. Thankfully finding them took a bit of time, so got a good feel for going sideways.
Took my car for a run down to Ohakune 12 hrs after landing in NZ. Can't beat empty roads at 5am. Only managed one run on the mountain thanks to atrocious conditions, but enjoyed the drive, and woke to find a natural cold air intake installed in the morning.
Unsure where it is at, but the catch up on the 7th sounds great. Count me in.

Three Wheelin'
wonder how the skateboarder stopped? - its pretty steep down hill near the end there. In the reverse direction - hill climb to start its a very good Targa stage. Lots of medium speed corners into the valley and trees very close to the road. Wouldn't want to have an off there!

I think the 7th is at Westhaven. Phil, a few more details would be good. I'm working on a highlight trailer but 2 hours is hard to compress to a few minutes.

John - I think you need to call round to mine for a 2 hour 'preview' before you cut it down any further!
