When you say "solved", what exactly did you do? The only way for me to connect is with the usb. Everytime I select android auto, it keeps saying to go to settings and pair the phone, when my phone is already paired. So frustrating!

 

I don't have a magic trick. Free up that giant black plug so that it doesn't get tangled with other cables. I positioned the plug at the bottom and other cables at top. If that plug remains tangled, it pushes on the cables coming from the PCM which won't fit. Other cars may have more space there than my little Cayman.

 

The Macan is also a nightmare to push back the PCM……I had to move the cables around several times before I could get it back in……and it was tight .

 

After a lot of attempts and changing cable positions, I was able to make it work without the camera/USB cable. It was very tight and I had to push a little bit to fit the last 2mm. My next challenge is connecting the camera and routing cables (USB and camera).

Any tips/pictures where you all route the USB cable and camera from the passenger side to the unit?

I had this problem with my PCM 3.1 too when I did the initial install, I took it back apart and rechecked all the ribbon cables and then when I closed it up and put it back in everything worked, so my guess is you may have a ribbon cable that is not quite seated all the way.

 

I had this experience once with iOS. I haven't tested it again since I installed the system last weekend but haven't driven the car since. I have the latest board and software.

Saturday - installed the system, got everything up and running. Paired the phone, tested it out, all was good.
Sunday - Monday - car sat locked
Tue - I get in the car to drive, the iSudar screen shows up, I press the iOS button, the system tells me to " go to settings etc....". In settings, I see that my device has already been paired and is listed as a known device. I try connecting....nothing. I wait ~10min....nothing. I had to unpair the phone, reboot the iSudar. Re-pair it and everything was fine. I ran a couple of errands and each time I came back to the car, the phone connected with no issue.
Wed - car sat locked
Thurs - today....I might test it out again but don't have any plans to drive today.

 

Installed only three days ago. I have seen "blank screen", "goto settings message" and starting in Isudar settings main page. But these problems are intermittent. Yesterday, it worked perfect, just as advertised. So, I think there might be minor bugs in the latest firmware.

One more glitch: after I park the car in the garage, my iPhone remains connected to CarPlay Wifi in the house.

 

I went to grab lunch today, Car sat for two days, my screen was black, it seemed like there was no power to the screen. I'm attributing that to the fact that it is 11 degrees outside and my garage was low 20's per the car. After the car warmed up, the screen came back, but it wen to the iSudar home page. WHen I pressed iOS, it would not go to CarPlay. After a couple minutes, I went to settings and tried to connect the phone, it would hunt for the phone but would not connect. I had to "reboot" the isudar and pair the phone again.
I'm about the head out again after having the car sit for 2 hours. We'll see what happens.

 

I installed the isudar into my 991 cabriolet a week ago; thanks for all the helpful tips along the way. I also had trouble fitting PCM back in with the extra harness but was able to finally do so after using more force than I'd like to. However, now I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to install an aftermarket camera. Problem is trying to snake a route to the back of the cabriolet. Any tips on cable routing?

 

I have the same problems with connectivity and the wifi staying connected while i m at home. I looks like that is also draining the battery because my Macan is slowly draining. Also always a blackscreen on startup, screen goes on when i holding the volume button and then click te volume button once again for startup.

 

I did not drive the car for 2 days. Turned on the PCM and pressed INFO. I saw the Isudar settings menu, not the CarPlay screen. Wifi was available on my iPhone but did not automatically connect to it. So I pressed the IOS button and it said, go to settings and pair it. So I went to the settings to pair it. It did not pair. I deleted the Bluetooth setting on the phone, turned it off, and back on. Start the Bluetooth pairing again and finally paired and it started working again.

Bottomline, there is an issue of automatic paring when the Isudar was off for an extended period of time.

Turned off PCM. Went inside the house and checked the Isudar Wifi is no longer active. Meaning the previous continued connection was an intermittent problem.

Isudar developers need to read our notes and do some troubleshooting on their end. PCM 3.1 version 4.7, latest Isudar hardware and 1124 firmware.

 

Until the PCM drops power which is governed by the Car.....the iSudar module wifi stays hot......this will not change unless iSudar makes a firmware change. It is beneficial for a short period of time.......the hot wifi,....for quick in and out of the car......but yes 30 mins is too long...and it has great range
Your battery should not really be effected by this 30 min timeframe.....unless it is weak, imo.

 

Same issue here.

Now, my PCM does not display anything. It stays black, however the tough functions work. When I have the radio playing, I can touch the presets on the black screen and it will change radio stations. I'm hoping this is occurring because it is 13F outside. However, I drove the car for about 15minutes after letting it warm up and the screen never appeared.

 

the black screen did not occur in the previous firmware, this problem came after the firmware update to 1124. I tried flashing back but that had no effect, unfortunately.
