According to Motortrend the best drivers car was the 992 C2S

Looks like the C8 is in appropriate company for the COTY fortunately I have never owned anything on that list.

I got to spend a lot of time with the Quadroglio on and off the track. Unfortunately, that car was just another example of FCA trash that typifies anything coming out of, controlled by or influenced by Detroit/American car companies.
RE: Take Notice Comment
Ferrari and other exotic car companies are not impacted by the C8. Completely different market. These guys might add a C8, but most won’t and it certainly won’t replace new exotics with a C8. Ferrari and exotics in general are so, so much more than just numbers on paper. They are like driving finely tuned works of art.

All the big dealers are currently offering $10 - $12K off on C7s, and if you are a current Corvette owner, you can increase that discount by another $3K. You can easily buy a 650 HP Z06 for mid $70Ks or for about the same price as a moderately equipped base 718 Boxster.

LOL... spot on... also interesting the following statements in the COTY article which I completely agree with:
If the new Corvette has a weakness, it's the exterior design. The judges' opinions ranged from harsh (MacKenzie: "Bill Mitchell would be spinning in his grave. ") to damning with faint praise (Walton: "Fine from 100 feet. "). The main issue: As you get closer to the vehicle, you see tributaries of pointless lines going off in every direction. This sort of sloppy linework—folds and creases that exist for the sake of existence—first appeared on the previous generation. Did the Corvette design team want to link the two products, to maybe help convince current Corvette owners to trade up for the newer model? Perhaps. Whatever the reason, although the car's shape is good, the details are not. However, that just means that Chevy has a real opportunity in a few years with the midcycle refresh. As our guest judge and former Jaguardesign boss Ian Callum said, "Great car to drive. Shame about the styling."

997 guys seem pretty down on C8, but they probably tend to be more purists.

The rear half of the C8 is awkward and clunky. Needs staggard or larger rear wheels and softer angles. Leno could barely muster any positive comment about the interior, except he liked the shape of the steering wheel. I dunno, it might be difficult for Leno to get hyped up about anything now, but he did act like a kid in the candy store in Singer’s 964 build.

I saw Leno talking a while back about how he refuses to buy a Ferrari because of that whole thing where they want you to start off buying a used car before you can get a new one. I wonder if Ferrari can keep that up now that they're putting out new model updates every 2 years. I have a feeling prices on used Ferraris is about to go into the toilet.

Like it or not, it works for Ferrari. I got on their list simply by purchasing a used 360 CS from a dealership in 2005 and doing a service at a dealership.
Jay just irritated because he should be treated more special than the average Joe purchasing Ferraris.

Per Motor1.Com over 5,000 C7s sitting on dealer lots. Go get’em value buyers.
And watched the recent Jay Leno Garage on the C8. It’s interesting.

The C8 looks uglier, cheaper and more "GM-y" every time I see it. That rear doesn't hold the specialness and exotic factor of a mid engine car, and the ridiculous obsession with luggage space and golf club/grocer getter usability will ensure it won't encroach on exotic cars. It's big and bloated, for one.
The overzealous and desperate lines and styling will age quickly and date the car prematurely.
I'd take one for a couple of years and have fun with it, but as always the 911 is the one I'll put a ring on.

That was actually a cool video, but Leno seemed less than enthusiastic about the car. Lol, he just kept diplomatically complaining about power being down due to governor. Dude, Leno is looking old as foook.

The two things that impress me about the C8 are the performance and price. It's just hard to believe that a $60K car can do a 0-60 in under 3 secs and have a top speed of nearly 200 MPH. Of course price means nothing to Leno, since spending $200K on a car for him would like me spending around $2K. Can't wait to see what the Z06 version of this car will offer. As far as design is concerned, I saw a C8 in person and it looked great to me. I guarantee that it will turn heads when they start hitting the streets in 2020.
Bottom line is that I still prefer the 911, but their prices are getting into the obscene level. For example there are four Porsche dealers within 60 minutes of where I live, and they have a total of twelve 992Ss in their inventory priced from $140K - $145K. Chump change for Leno, but a lot of money for me.

I think there's the potential for FE/ME conflict in the Corvette world, just like there was, and still is to some extent, of the conflict between air cooled/water cooled advocates in the Porsche world.

In fact, it’s quite hard.
