I’m guessing it’s from the extra torque from the turbos compared to RS’ lower torque figure?
Definitely launches out of the hole like a cannon. Not sure how it gets that time honestly. Runs out of steam at higher rpms but is a blast around town. Porsche has definitely tuned it for daily fun vs top speed pulls.

They are horrible.

Every C8 owner will love them though.

I'm JOKING about C8 owners, btw.

Had lunch Thursday with a guy that owns 4 Chevy dealerships. I asked him how many C8s he was being allocated and whether he would charge a premium. He is getting 38 at the nearby dealership, all were available, he laughed about the premium charged question and said no premium. So much for 40 thousands being spoken for . . .

He said that there were a couple of recent magazine tests that are apparently concluding that Chevy misrepresented the hp, the cars are well under advertised power and the performance is below that represented. He actually didn't seem to enthusiastic about the car other than the convertible top being cool and closing at 55 mph.

I wrote to Porsche USA to ask if another steering wheel would be offered as an option to see the gauges no response

I can see all the gauges. My seating position might promote this.. so to each their own

I just tilt my head a little to the side when I need to see the info. Seems to work. I have noticed my neck muscles seem to be growing.

This has become hilarious. Seeing the outer two gauges takes LESS head movement than checking the side mirrors. (Someone write a letter to Porsche!!)

Good God. Are we driving a fighter jet where every gauge needs to be seen so we get to Costco.
I want to see gauges but as long as I can see oil pressure/temp, water temp, tach , I'm good to go. Is it that hard to peek around the wheel.?

Let's be honest ... the steering wheel is closer to the dash with the 992. If they would shrink the dash to adjust for the wheel position it would be 6" wide. Get over it... it's a non-issue with my 992. When I see people reaching for complaints about such 'miniscule' issues... it reaffirms just how good the 992 really is.
