Got both letters and mine shows only the AG01 Diesel fix outstanding. That kinda makes sense if these are both "fixes" for the original emissions fix since mine hasn't been done yet.

Dealer has no idea; had to scan and send the letter so they could see it. Apparently PCNA doesn't bother letting them know these are going out.

Not getting it done tomorrow.

i have 500 miles on the CD since the fix and am happy with the fix. I have had no performance issues or hesitation. The shifting pattern is different closer to being in sport mode....and now sport mode does not make much change. It has been relatively cool in Florida over the past few weeks so I am hoping there is no performance degradation as it gets hotter

Your assumptions for when the fix needs to be completed is incorrect. The only reason I am pointing it out is so that people don’t think they missed the deadline to get their car fixed. The fix needs be done by 4/30/20. I would get it done sooner than that in case the dealership runs into some issues.

update: apparently my screen didn’t refresh. Now I see that other people have replied to this same thread. I don’t see a delete button. However, the date for the fix in April is correct.

Letter arrived today. I'll take it with me on my service appointment this weekend to see what they say.

With any luck the software will be ready for them in a week or two - gonna have a CF steering wheel swapped in. Want them to do it due to airbag, any coding, etc. Perfect excuse for why I have to take the car back to the dealer

What are the Touareg guys saying about these new fixes? Sorry, I haven't been keeping up.

Edit: Never mind, found the quoted post from the other forum. That would indeed be good.

I do get the shudder on startup.

Just the fact that you have to authorize them in writing to perform this campaign tells me not to do it.

My dealer had heard of the new campaign. Didn’t have any information other than “we won’t start scheduling until mid February, probably don’t expect to get in until late February or early March.”

Of course this is from the one guy on staff who is a total douche (3 writers and one manager... 2 of the writers and the manager are great folks) so who really knows. This writer acts like customers are the bane of his existence.

CYA thing, no doubt. And perhaps they did a few emissions mods without permission on people's vehicles and got some serious blowback? Either way, I don't think it can make my '15 worse, so.... (famous last words, right?)

I'm getting mine done on the 30th. Dealer said they'd get the S/W on the 28th, so the 29th or later.

Aside from a loss of 4-5 mpg on a road trip ATL-STL-ATL since the fix last month, ours is behaving the same as before the fix, fortunately.

Which fix last month? The original emissions fix?

That's one thing that didn't really change on either of our CDs. Mileage was down maybe 1 mpg as advertised.

Got it.

Hope your '15 took it better than mine. Though, I have to say that in the cold weather, it's less pronounced than in the summertime.

Recent trip with fairly high general traffic speeds (low 80s) netted 31 mpg over about a 550 mile trip.

Default 2013 CD HPFP problems

Does anyone have a pdf of the HPFP removal and installation? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It probably behaves good in cold weather since the car still emits higher levels of pollution at low temps. There was a post earlier that said the Germans found out that the car emits above some limit at cold temps. So perhaps not much was changed for low temps.
