So perhaps now what we have is now like everyone else...
Nope, also have a new Benz GLS that blows this 1 away! Agree with my wife, it drives more like a Hyandai than the vehicles you mentioned. The vehicle now sucks!

What you have described sounds much like what I experienced last winter when my boost hose became cracked (it did throw some codes too). Zero power. Once it was replaced, everything was normal again.
Thanks for the advise. I’ll e-mail my dealer in the am about the bost system.

Maybe I should drink more and then maybe I’ll think it drives the same.

One more reason to wait until 2019 to get the fix, need to stay strong from the temptation of getting the other half $$$$.$$ BTW, why is price of diesel going up in CA?

The last few posters with negative experiences is concerning. Unless you really need the money, I'd wait as long as possible.

Drove 450 miles today in temperature ranging from 28-48 degrees. Indicated MPG 32.2. Did not notice any change in performance. Quite happy with the rig.

Gas or diesel? Last I saw, MB wasn't able to sell the new GSL 350 Bluetec due to their own emissions certification issues...

Still looking forward to my fix on 12/20; just pissed a bit that my dealer fixed cars getting traded in before mine.

Getting my 2013 CD done on Thursday. I also have a MB E350 Bluetec with the 3.0 diesel. I am interested to see the comparison. I always felt the MB suffers from turbo lag and isn't as responsive as the CD.

Many negative reviews of the CD, Toureg and Q7 post fix. I don't know how anyone could agree to a settlement without testing a fix first. Seems backwards to me and I will certainly avoid getting the cars fixed. Looks like VW continues to lie and I don't understand why so many of you are so trusting of VW after they repeatedly lied to investigators.

Well there is the carrot of instant $$$$. Our only hope is that the 85% participation is not reached. The regulators and attorneys have been paid. They would care less about us

Well, so far, so good. Picked it up this afternoon. Had been sitting outside in ~39F temp for a while before I got there. Started right up and sounded normal. Even caused a vibration that I've been chasing down with the tech for a while now (but only does it for a few minutes at start up. Had the tech come out to hear it, finally), so same engine vibrations, I guess. Held RPMs high initially, though if I manually upshifted, with the switch/paddle (MF wheel), it stayed in 4th and didn't try and go back down to 3rd. Get up and go felt the same, sport mode seemed the same for the little bit I was able to test and mileage showed about the same on the first, albeit, short drive.

Bottom line? Like I said, so far, so good.

Had my ‘14 CD modified about 2 weeks ago. Took several trips since in 30-50F outside temps. Drivability and fuel consumption seem to be the same as before the mods. It did smell initially, which dealer said was the new cats as they heat cycle. That smell went away. Overall happy with the end solution. About 350 miles since the fix applied.

with the mixed results, I think I'll just wait a bit longer. The $$ are going to pay down the loan anyways, so carrying the 5k at 1.9% interest isn't really costing much.
