Text says "new". The Cars.com mileage section says ~16,000. Photo of the odometer shows 19 miles. According to the build sheet for this VIN, they're actually asking $995 *above* original sticker.

This one only has ~200 miles on it. Guessing "dealer demo"? https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...3622/overview/ According to the build sheet, this one is also listed at $995 *above* original sticker.

I guess that's good evidence these HAVEN'T lost any value...

I also called some dealers and they mentioned 11/17 date for start selling and didn't re-check. Browsing cars.com, autotrader.com showing some CDs.

Cars.com and autotrader.com have been showing these vehicles all along, but I don't think the dealers have updated the pricing. They'll be 2 or 3 (model) year old vehicles for which dealers have already received some settlement money. Remember, they got theirs before we got ours. If people are willing to pay MSRP - or above - for an old car, good for Porsche. But I suspect they'll go for well below original MSRP. We'll see how much value the market gives them... and what it does to the ones we already have.

I know they need to fix customer cars first, but the unsold 15s and 16s are just a 1 hour software update, so I don't see a reason they can't get them fixed. Also, how do they decide that enough customer cars have been fixed?

Service manager mentioned flashing 2015/16 cars is quick but will take couple of hours for detailing and refueling.
I am waiting to buy one more CD.. 2016 model if I can get discount is around 20%-22% of MSRP.

Like other reports, it feels like it holds gears more and shifts up at a higher RPM. On flat & smooth road and feathering the gas pedal going 50 mph, in the past it always upshifted to 8th. Now it holds 7th. Standing outside of the car it seems a hair louder at idle, even though the idle RPM is the same as before. Inside the car it's hardly perceptible. Fuel consumption seems about the same.

A few pages previously on this thread some were saying stuff that happened, to themselves and other posters, since this thread began. I'll add mine. My daughter was 3 days old when this thread started. Inheriting her old man's gift of gab, nowadays I can't shut her up!

Updates:
Roughly 400 miles now on the vehicle from travel over Thanksgiving, as well as some city driving yesterday & today. While the clatter/stuttering has slightly improved, it's still present.
  • On the highway, it seems fine / and stable.
  • In the city, it's still clatter-stuttering/hesitating quite badly. (during and post warmup cycle) It seems that the need to feather the throttle while in Stop/Go traffic causes the stumbling/hesitation issue the majority of the time. Either way, it's not good.
Fwiw, weather is in the mid-40s (F).

Are you planning to return it to the dealer? I would schedule a loaner and tell them not to bother calling until it's fixed.

Yes -- we're emailing right now trying to figure out a time when they have a loaner available. I brought it back within the first day regarding the stumble/hesitation, and they instructed me to drive it for 200-300 miles while the ECU learns the new hardware. Again, to be clear and fair to Porsche/engineers... it HAS improved in the ~400 miles that I've driven it now, but it still stumbles frequently. Definitely something is not right still.

What you described sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere causing the stumbling and hesitation especially at idle and slow speeds. My other cars in the fleet actually Similar issues until the leak was fixed, whether it's ripped hoses or under tightened clamps. Good luck with your ride.

Thanks Shenofjo -- Strange that it would only start occuring after the Diesel fix... To my knowledge, the 2013-2014's had ECU and exhaust hardware changed ... nothing anywhere close/around the vaccum system.
