I just won a BAT auction about 3 weeks ago on a '11 Turbo S Cab PDK w/41k miles. I didn't think I'd win at $91,324 + fees, but here we are. By my unscientific estimation, it came in $5-$15k under current market, but maybe a sign that either the 911 market is starting to soften or it was simply a function of a cab being sold in the middle of winter. A year ago this time, I think these could be purchased for low 80's. Anyone have thoughts on where the current general 997 market is going?
I just can't deal with the interior and exterior color combo. I really dislike the sand beige anyways but pairing it with guard's red makes it worse.
Still a very desirable combo with the Mezger engine and manual.
Anyone following this one? Is two days remaining and the current bid at $81k the proof that driven and modified examples can still bring good money? I recall there was another thread created around the same time this one was about controversial BaT cars with comments from one RL user about how he cosigned his sub 10k mile factory example and was boasting at the $100k that he got for it... 13 months later...here we are.

That black one was in the RL marketplace for a while at $95k, which given a few recent auctions is amazingly not totally out of the realm of possibility. A white 09 6spd coupe with a couple stories and more miles sold for $95k at an irl auction a few weeks ago.
This 08 is especially interesting to me because unless the photos are misleading, the paint condition makes it look like a brand new car. I'm expecting a pretty decent result because of its condition.
i think the quality of photos is helping the black 08 a lot. the condition of the exterior looks to be fantastic and they are really highlighting that.
I’ve also been tracking this one. With mileage, mods and seven owners, it’ll be interesting to see where this one ends. Looking great so far.
Yeah, I think this is a car for a very specific buyer who values most/all of the mods the PO(s) have done to the car. This seems like a car---to me at least---that I'd really need to see in person and drive before I could even start talking about price.
For anyone repainting a rear quarter panel on a 997, keep in mind that some shops will remove the rear window seal to get the best result. In order to remove the rear window seal you need to remove rivets. When the rivets are removed they drop into the double walled area on the rear quarter which will cause outward protrusions/dents. If caught early enough you can have a PDR guy come in and remove the rivets or you can try and remove them yourself if it’s very early. If you wait too long, the rivets will actually cause the paint to crack. This would then involve another repaint of the rear quarter.
Just a heads up to anyone that is looking at a car with a rear quarter repaint. I recommend borescoping the inside of the rear quarter panel. For anyone interested, I’d be happy to provide details on how to do this. Paintwork isn’t all bad especially when it’s documented and explained, but there’s this additional level of complexity on 997 cars.

According to the auction thread, the car had paint correction and ceramic coating, so I guess it should look nice right now, though with no ppf (again according to the auction thread), I'm not sure how long the front end is going to be acne free. And the photos do look a bit slick; the car looks like something on a dessert menu! I'd want to put eyes on it, too.
$92.5k before fees ain't bad at all for a modified and driven 997.1 Turbo. This is great news for us modified owners. The crowd surprisingly didn't seem too hung up about a DME report either. I don't think one was even posted. Could this be a changing of the DME tide??? Heavens, what will the tire kickers do now????
