Just hit the market. The damage reported isn't as big a deal as the Bank1 VGT actuator rod just dangling there. Once this thing hits full boost... it won't.
(Pictures 130-134 &136 show the actuator rod clearly disconnected and just hanging around). Interested to see if anyone notices.
Olive went for $117k before fees. Gotta be a record for a Turbo with more than 60k miles, driven I'm sure almost entirely by the color.
WOW! I tried to buy that car from RAC in 2017. I was a little spooked by all the electrical system inspections on the Carfax, plus it sat for months at a St Louis dealer before turning up at RAC. Still, I made them a strong offer within $2k or so of their asking and they didn’t even counter, so I moved on. I think they were asking 70 or 68k. Market is nuts.

I had one of these come off. Car runs REALLY bad above 1/3 throttle. I put new ones in and lubricated them.

Someone DID notice. Let's see how it's answered...
Wow, $123k all in for that Olive green car with 65k miles. I get it's a rare color. The Turbo market isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
As much as I think people paying that much for a 997 turbo is crazy--full stop--it certainly benefits all of us when it comes to both overall values across the board and the ability to keep driving the car w/out worrying about the cost of additional miles. My car is a basic color (meteor gray), but has substantially fewer miles and paid substantially less than $123k back in December 2020. And truth be told, I thought the car was probably $4-5k more expensive than the market at the the time. Now? It seems like I got a bargain.
also in comparison to that dark olive metallic posting, these photos are fantastic.
For my money..... white/beige couldn't be a more "meh" color combo...great photos or not. However, for the current bidder, it is apparently the cat's pajamas.
