The time varies. Many factors.

It is also important to be persistent and ensure you do your part as quickly as possible.

I was able to go live within 3 weeks of first contacting BAT. I took my own photos.

My manual 997.2 Turbo is now live on BaT. Took about two weeks from submission to going live. I think doing No Reserve help cut down the time substantially.

I just posted on your BAT listing discussing the joys of a car like this. Did you get a GT4RS allocation? hahaha

Thanks for the nice comment! No GT4RS in my future until this ADM nonsense dies down

Slight change of pace, a higher mileage (79k) example at a real auction (Bonhams in Scottsdale):

https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/27328/lot/38/

Kind of a wild card with the replacement engine, minor accident reported (sounds cosmetic only?), 09 model year and white color.

I just won a BAT auction about 3 weeks ago on a '11 Turbo S Cab PDK w/41k miles. I didn't think I'd win at $91,324 + fees, but here we are. By my unscientific estimation, it came in $5-$15k under current market, but maybe a sign that either the 911 market is starting to soften or it was simply a function of a cab being sold in the middle of winter. A year ago this time, I think these could be purchased for low 80's. Anyone have thoughts on where the current general 997 market is going?

Don’t think the market is softening, although maybe it’s not as crazy as before? Cabs sell best in spring/summer certainly when everyone wants top down summer trips.

I think you got a pretty good deal and smart timing! By way of reference, I purchased my 997.2 TTS cab in April 2020 with 15k miles, $180k original MSRP at the depths of Covid when no one was buying anything - for $92k….

I’m sure I could sell it for 105-110 now, maybe more, but the 997 will be a classic. Come 2030 when even 911s will be electric, I think the 997.2 gen Porsches will be considered a true classic - last of the truly analog feeling 911s before the much larger 991 came to market.

just my 2 cents. Don’t sweat the appreciation. Enjoy an amazing ride!

This 79k-mile 6spd coupe amazingly sold for $95.2k (apparently that includes the auction premium) at Bonhams. Can't lie, I'm pretty surprised.

Wow! I’m a bit surprised too, especially with a non-original engine and rear end damage resulting in a new bumper. Maybe a non-original engine doesn’t have as much impact on a car like this compared to a classic car where it’s all about numbers matching? For another thread perhaps…

Another high mileage (89k, red, 2007) 6mt coupe just hammered at $85k before fees on BaT. Good to have some idea of the new floor to go with the sky's-the-limit ceiling on the lower mileage cars.

FWIW: here's a very recent data point: Had dealers offering me a minimum 95-100k (lowball - haha?) for my 997.2 TTS cab (18k miles, $178k original msrp). Figure retail price would be 115k-120k if that's their wholesale acquisition cost. So I think you got a great deal.

BTW, there's still some very good deals to be had on BAT if you're patient and the timing is right. Always buy convertibles in the dead of winter, buy any manual P-car in the middle of a recession :-) As Warren Buffett says, stay greedy when others are fearful :-)

Interesting to see how much that one goes for as I've started toying with the idea of letting mine go as well

07, manual, 14K miles, pccb, $150K sticker
