$92.5k before fees ain't bad at all for a modified and driven 997.1 Turbo. This is great news for us modified owners. The crowd surprisingly didn't seem too hung up about a DME report either. I don't think one was even posted. Could this be a changing of the DME tide??? Heavens, what will the tire kickers do now????

2007 911 Turbo. 16k miles. 6 speed. Carrara white over natural leather brown. Sport seats. Pretty much a perfect spec. No DME yet, but people have been requesting it. No paint meter readings yet either. One thing I noticed on this 997 along with many 987/997s is the rust on the door hinge in picture 90. I don't think there is much we can do to prevent this, paint is naturally going to wear away every time the door is opened or closed. This car doesn't show pictures of it, but many will also show corrosion around the front hood latch on the hood since the hood is aluminum and the bolts that secure it are steel I believe. The dissimilar metals cause corrosion as an effect. I've tried to make sure to blow this out after washing to minimize these issues.

Regarding DME's, I still like them as a tool to evaluate a car. But it's one piece of data that I use along with many others. Living and dying by the DME report is probably not a good idea. You'll be excluding too many cars. Especially on Turbo's where a tune (which is safe) can raise the rev limiter. Porsche is the only brand I know of with this data available, at least to the public so who knows how many cars in the past you've owned that have been bounced off the limiter. Add into that equation that someone could be taking the car up to 6k on cold oil and that would never get recorded. Too many variables in buying a used car. Even a new car, the dealer tech that is doing the PDI could drive it hard before you ever received it, the car could have paintwork at the port, etc. My one exception with DME's is when I see range 6. You don't know how high it went and I'd rather buy one without that level of over revs, even if the necessary amount of time for it to be considered safe by Porsche has passed.

this is an interesting one - upper mid range mileage wise but the mezger was replaced at 22k. appears to be a very well optioned spec.

will be curious to see if this breaks 100k. normally i would say no but with only 30k on that motor, maybe it will.

Sheesh, another modified driver's car with some miles (64k) is already at $85k with 6 days to go.

I'm sure it won't go up exponentially in that time but still, even $85k before fees is a solid number.
