Hey sorry I've been really busy. I don;t have any additional switches with me. I'm glad someone got to making a DIY for the switch replacement. It really isn't that hard.
I ordered them from https://thesensorconnection.com/ . I would give them a call to get a quote.

cdixon, I still need to get around to testing that solenoid valve. Right now it looks like there must have been some sort of desiccant failure (oil contamination perhaps?) causing all this corrosion. Right now I've figured out that there is a pinch clamp holding part of the compressor shaft together that I need to pull apart.

OK, here is the deal. The price breakdown is the following based on quantities:

$245 - 1
$212 - 3
$141 - 5

ETA is 8-10 weeks to get these in.

The switch from Germany should be around 50 Euros-
It might be a good idea to email the other vendors, including the one in Spain-

But, I would think that the vendor you contacted would quote an even lower price if 10 or maybe even 20 were bought-I'm sure we could get 20 of us together to make a group buy-

Is this from 00 Scrub's source? That's considerably more expensive than what we paid if you get between 3-5 switches

It would indeed be good to get quotes from multiple sources-reminds me of the VAS 6154 vendors that started raising their prices after too many people started buying them on eBay
If it's the same source and it's more expensive, I would definitely point it out to the salesperson-

So at&t decided to allow me to reach the German site

https://www.suco.de/en/pressure-moni...-hex27/f1/146/

Here it is, and it would be nice if some European members wrote or called them to get a quote-if someone can place an order in a European country(if they won't ship to the US) it might still be worth it, if they are indeed 50 Euros there-

It would be nice to get this switch with a price of regular maintenance like an oil change

I went ahead and contacted Mr. Weiss at Suco in Germany, to see if they would ship to US-

Here’s the link to the folks in the UK that can get them… Quite a long lead time though when I checked a few years ago…

https://www.oem.co.uk/products/press...switch-_-54332

Good site as it provides spec details for all the variants

If you go down the group buy route, I’m in for 1 or 2 of ‘em. My FAL has failed before, and it will fail again.

@cdixon I finally got around to testing the solenoid and removing the cover for the pneumatic valve. All my solenoids make a good thunk when 12V is applied. I took the cover off of the pneumatic valve and everything in there looks corrosion free and the valve piston moves OK.

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic air dryer housing from the aluminum valve block? I don't just want to pry and break something.

The internals of that 2/2 pneumatic relief valve looks fine to me.

As I said before, I got lucky and never had to dig as deep into the system as you are. It’s looking like the dryer, main compressor cylinder is a factory sealed unit. :-(

I’ve always thought the whole pump unit, looks like a hacked air suspension compressor to me. I did try to track one down on the internet but gave up, maybe i’ll look again.
