As I said before, I got lucky and never had to dig as deep into the system as you are. It’s looking like the dryer, main compressor cylinder is a factory sealed unit. :-(

I’ve always thought the whole pump unit, looks like a hacked air suspension compressor to me. I did try to track one down on the internet but gave up, maybe i’ll look again.
Yeah it looks to me that if I can't get things apart I'll have to find some sort of air suspension compressor and fab brackets etc.

The compressor is free to spin now with my wrench so hopefully cleaning that up works for it. The air dryer canister is bolted to the manifold, but either corrosion or some sort of sealant is holding it together. I'll see if I can pry it apart somehow.

Regardless thanks for the advice and all the previous work you did. It's been really helpful.

And there's Cargraphic:

And apparently it can also just use the air compressor that comes in the frunk, the one I've never even used to inflate tires in an emergency

I just ordered the Suco switch which corresponds to the 967-90 part number. The distributor is calibrating it to 13 bar prior to shipment. $245 shipped. Can probably be sourced cheaper but I didn’t have time to deal with suppliers in Europe.

I’ve drawn the same conclusion if the next time mine fails and it turns out to be a compressor fault I’m unable to repair

They are, suco US distributor in Boca Raton, just north of me. I contacted Mr. Weiss in Germany, and the rep here wrote me with the quote-
*I always go to the source

I don't know what the procedure for group buys are-the payment terms says credit card, packing and order $9 which is negligible, and shipping is not stated or estimated. Since they come from Germany there might be an import fee, maybe not. The company in Boca Raton is one of Suco's affiliates/distributors. So it would be shipped there-
I have made the drive along the coast(A1A)for pleasure in the past, construction on 1-95 is an absolute nightmare-or they could ship here to my house-

This, assuming a group buy procedure that I've never done or participated in. As they state, 6-8 weeks estimated, so anyone in a hurry might as well buy it at a dealer that has them in stock.

I seem to recall that I myself had already contacted this company many months if not years ago and was ignored if I remember correctly; possibly because they didn't want to bother with selling one unit, or whatever reason. The complete email reveals that Mr. Weiss in Germany, the head of International Distribution, facilitated the order after I contacted him directly last week.
Let's keep in mind that there is the second switch too, though most problems seem to be with the one we've been discussing-

So anyone with group buy experience, and how it's usually carried out, please post on what needs to be done-it will involve quite a task of then going to USPS, sending each item out in a small box, etc-so it will involve some time and effort which I hope will not become too big of a headache-

Best,
John

Well, I looked for guidelines for setting up a group buy on rennlist, their policy about it, and didn't find concrete info.
I assume a method would be using PayPal "friends and family", and once the money is sent, the purchase can be made-
So far I told the vendor I would get back to him, after determining how many switches would be ordered-

So I'm a bit reluctant to take on the task, but will consider it-if committed members would like to move forward, we can discuss a few things-
Will Gabriel at Sucoesi also offer to ship to group buyers direct from his facility once the shipment arrives from Germany? Or does that complicate things for them and would he prefer not to? I can consider driving there to pick up, somewhat reducing time and shipping costs, and then send out through USPS to the buyers-USPS offers a small box for shipping, and insurance-I can look online at their current domestic options.

Still, at $41.10 each, and as they posted:
>>Packing and Handling: $9 per order (does not include shipping cost)

I would have to call him and get confirmation on final cost to his facility, and options from there-
Picking up the package would pretty much take the better part of a day, leaving at 10 AM, it's a somewhat pleasant drive but takes a few hours, and then beating rush hour on the way back, but I"ll consider it-

Best,
JB
