Maybe these switches' dealer prices will start falling since the units are 12 years old now. Many posts ago it was determined that the switches in Germany existed for $50, but not possible to purchase, I forget the details-
I see that the ones purchased were set to 13 bar before shipping, wonder how that's done...
13 bar is 188.5491 psi(!)

That's correct. @00 SCRUB was able to source them directly from Suco. I have one that I've been waiting to tackle. Thanks for the write up @wonderdan. Changing my oil next weekend and may do this at the same time.

Whats the price of the ones from the OEM, I may buy a few... seems this should be categorized as a wear part lol.

Totally a wear item. I will buy another if someone orders again! It was $120 shipped to me.

Did you get a new washer with yours? I don't believe I did. That may be a problem. @Wonderdan is it a rubber o-ring or metal washer that was included with your new valve?

So mine was $409 from the stealer… so a $250 washer lol. It doesn’t look like a crush washer so prob ok to reuse?

BTW I was over confident on the last post as I just tried the other side and the socket did not quite fit as well so this isn’t a guarantee. I’ll try few dif ones as they are only $10.

Update*
I got it to fit but the socket didn’t seat all the way down which was fine but I removed this little screw to make the .5mm I needed of extra room.

You can see here where I dinged the plastic, if I wanted it to be “super smooth full fit” you could file a little bit of plastic off that side or grind a little off the socket but it’s not needed I hit torque easily.

Btw does anyone know if losing like a 1/2 tsp of fluid out of these holes is ok? I assume if I did it right side up that wouldn’t happen.

Actually all three of these cheapos fit so I’m guessing a Husky from Home Depot will too.

Default Another #13 switch failure and redemption

Another rainy weekend in south Texas, so I decided to tackle this today. Many thanks again to @Wonderdan for the pics and steps. He's clearly more adept since I took a good hour and half to complete this, most of it cursing at the belly pans. Power tools are helpful here to remove the fasteners (but not necessary) which I unfortunately don't have.

I would add a few tips/steps:

I wasn't sure which pan needed to come off, so I started with the front-most one....which of course was the wrong one. The narrow middle pan will give you access to the FAL. I think this can be removed without taking off the front pan. Reinstalling the pans is a bit fidgity (have to make sure certain tabs tuck under or over other ones). DO NOT OVER TORQUE the threaded washers when putting everything back

The black plastic cover over the switches does not move very much with the wires attached, so getting them back into the little retaining holes was a bit of a challenge (combined with my old man eyesight). A pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers to guide the wires back in and a small jewelers screwdriver will be helpful here.

I examined the old switch expecting to find a ton of hydraulic fluid in the hole in the base. Dry as a bone. Also, the old switch didn't have a washer on it.....at least I think it didn't unless it was still attached to the baseplate. I forgot to look and didn't realise until the pans were back on.

Fired up the car, did a Hail Mary and pushed the lift button....car went up with a LIFT indicator on the dash (which it only did 1 out of 10 times before).....but it didn't go down with a second push.....Son of a.......then I realised my door was open (derp). Tried it again and success! MAKE SURE YOUR DOORS ARE CLOSED WHEN YOU TEST IT OUT!

Dry, unremarkable old switch

New switch installed

I hate belly pans. It's the narrow center section that needs to come off

Lol you know I might have been exaggerating because my belly pans were already off, and I def use power tools

I’m glad it worked out, if you did it again I bet it would be less than a 30 min job

Same issue here. My car is a 2010 7.2 Push the lift button, car goes up but does not display the "LIFT" light. Will not go down with the button but goes down at 40+mph or so. Based on this thread, I need the 13bar switch. Does anyone have any of the Suco 13 bar switches for sale? Maybe we could do group buy for a few so guys could have some extras???? I don't wanna pay $400 at the dealer.

Finally, out of curiosity, does anyone know if the Suco 014045931009 which corresponds to the 997.341.964.90 or 997.341.967.90? It seem like everyone is getting the 967.90 switch from the dealer. I don't think anyone has figured out how to find out if one has the 000 111 or 000 112 pump. Does is really matter?

Thanks my fellow rennlist peeps...

Do you by any chance have any left? If not, could you please post the link to where you ordered it from? I did not see that posted earlier. Thank you!

I just did some more searching, and it's incredibly frustrating-
The Suco switch part # appears to be 0140-45903-2-009. Porsche Part # 997 341 967 90

If someone would like to contact some of these distributors and ask for a quote, we could get an idea with minimum order, shipping, etc-My search took over an hour and very frustrating. My ISP (AT&T) seems to freak out on some websites and I could not reach suco.de for whatever reason. It's done the same for garageforum.org, which I can reach on my iPhone if I turn wifi off, so I know it's the iso blocking it
Here's what I found:
http://https://www.hgsind.com/produc...e-switch?v=248

Sucoesi is not too far from me, in Boca Raton-but I seem to recall they wouldn't sell in person or something:
https://sucoesi.com/products/mechani...n-socket-0140/

This site is in Spain and has it with exact part number:
https://www.hidramatic.com/en/pressu.../0140459032009

And a German site, strangely named Suku and selling the Suco switches:

https://suku.de/en/product/463--type...max-250-v.html

I'll open up my PETKA now, update price list etc and see if it shows the current list price from Porsche out of curiosity-
And these are the 3 Pressure switches and part numbers:

997 341 964 90 - pressure switch until pump

997 341 967 90 - pressure switch from pump

997 341 963 90 - pressure switch

John

Hi John,
I just emailed hgsind for a quote on the 13 bar SUCO 0140-459-3-1-009 switch. If I don't hear back from them today, I will follow up with a phone call tomorrow. This seems to be the 997.341.967.90 switch. I am not aware of anyone ordering the 964.90 version of this switch.

I will follow up here. If anyone is interested in getting a spare switch, let me know were so I can get an idea how many I should consider getting.
