It looks like I'm going to have to order a minimum of 3pcs at ~$100/ea. Does anyone here want any? Do the 1 bar or 18 bar switches ever fail or should I just order the 13 bar ones?

I'll take a 13 bar switch

I'd take a 13 bar as well.

https://www.suco.de/en/pressure-moni...0-45903-2-009/

And in the US, they're in FL:

SUCO Technologies Inc.
6560 W. Rogers Cir.
Suite 22 Boca Raton,
Florida 33487

Also responsible for Canada
https://suco-tech.com did not show the part number
0140-45903-2-009

Where did you find the
switch?

So if they're the ones that referred you to the distributors, I guess that's that then. Part number 0140-45903-2-009, correct?
If it would be possible to order direct from the german site it could be they would be cheaper, maybe not. I believe it was around post 181 they were said to be $50-
In any case, it's a lot less than at the stealership, where they're around $230 or so

Hi JB. I called Such Tech first to get a quote. They are the ones who told me to go to a distributors since I didn't have an account with them and it was too small of an order to open a new account.
I have an email for a RFQ out to such.de which I believe was the place mentioned earlier in the thread with the ~$50 price. I'll wait to hear back.
I got a quote from Hidramatic in Spain. They wanted ~100 Euros for the switch and another 12 Euros for setting the pressure. They have the same 10-12 week lead time (I'm guessing no one stocks this part).

I asked for a quote on the following Parts:
  1. 0140-45903-1-009 - Set to 13bar
  2. 0140-45903-9-009 - Set to 13bar
I don't believe EPDM is the correct seal material for this switch since it does not have good oil compatibility. The seal material is the "-1" or "-2" or "-9" in the PN.

The Sensor Connection said we can also use a 0180 series switch with an adapter for the electrical side. They have those in stock.
Switch PN: 0180-45903-1-009
Adapter PN: 1-1-80-652-002
I was quoted ~ $180 for this. I am not sure if the switch + adapter will fit in the same location as the stock switch since it is all very tight in there.

I admit I have not read every detail of this thread... but right now the FAL still goes down when I drive it, so I just use it for emergencies. But these failures seem more like a when, not an IF fix for the 997. I've noticed on other parts that have design flaws that sometimes fixing them with OEM parts just for them to just brake again is a waste of effort.

Whats your opinion on if these fixes are worth it, am I going to have to do the same thing in 5 years? I get it if your selling and you want to say your car is flawless... but right now its just a manageable annoyance.

Depending on the failure mode of the 13 bar switch there might be a few options.
If there is seal damage from the oil damaging the seal material a change to a more robust/compatible seal material would help (I am wondering if the HNBR -9 option would be better)
If the oil is gumming up with mechanism and adding to the hysteresis of the switch perhaps an inline filter such as this https://www.comoso.com/uploads/produ...so_P19_RIF.pdf would help prevent future damage.

Or you just make this a maintenance item and replace it every ~5 years or so.

I got 5 pcs of the 13 bar switch on order (-1 NBR material). 3 of them are spoken for. If anyone else wants some just shoot me a PM. Otherwise I'll put them up on the marketplace whenever I get them or maybe keep them as spares.

Thanks @00 Scrub for contacting Suco and getting the 13 bar pressure switches made. $120 shipped to me. Now I just have to get around to installing it and hoping it fixes my FAL issue.

I think I read somewhere in this mega post that the switch can be changed out with a 27mm socket without having to remove the entire system? What else is needed?

Ed, here are the pics of the socket I ordered for that. I still haven't gotten to swapping the valve out yet.

Just got this as well from @00 Scrub . My shop just installed it and my lift is now fully functioning with LIFT showing in dash and press button again to lower the car. In total cost under $400 to fix with parts and labor.
Big thanks to 00Scub. Thanks for putting in the leg work here.

Do you know if they had to remove the FAL system to replace it?
