However it won’t downshift shift into 1st… have to be almost stopped to grind it in. The owner told me he would never downshift an RS into first so it’s a non-issue Drola was helping me diagnose… maybe synchros…so it has a shop appointment in a week. Also sounds like one of the rotors is warmped… but they are ceramic so that prob not it lol we’ll see.
Non-issue to him, but should be disclosed. People are so f*cked. When I was 18 I bought a 1959 Morris Minor with a bad synchro and the old bastard that sold it to me said it was "simply an adjustment" of the shifter. It continues to surprise me today what people do.The good news is it was a good price so you have a little buffer.

yea it sucks to have issues right out of the gate, but I don’t mind opening up the hood a little too see the shape everything is in…

This is total BS from the seller and what I see as one of the issues with BAT, there's no seller feedback.

I bought a 71 Honda CB750 off of BAT that had an oil leak that wasn't disclosed. Ticked me off. I'd have probably still bid on it and been happy with the purchase but instead it left a bit of a bad taste. Everyone hates surprises. This is on a different level though as this repair could be many thousands of dollars. There's no way that seller didn't know there was a significant issue with the gearbox and the big $$$ rotors.

We all have our stories about some sellers. I learned on muscle cars and 356 Porsche's. Due diligence and seeing the car in person. I flew from Colorado to look at a "rust free" 1965 sunroof SC in Florida. Sellers representative was a car appraiser so I believed him when he said rust free. Got there looked at the car and promptly called the guy a "f%#king" liar. I was ready to throw down on him. I had to walk away. I was so mad. Rust was all over the car. It was a good lesson that cost me about $2k but better than $80K.

Same story, different car. Flew to Montreal to do final inspection on a 'pristine' 2010 GT3RS. As soon as the guy pulled the cover off the car I knew I wasted a weekend and a bunch of travel dollars. Was LOADED with rock chips on bumper, hood and rear fenders. I just can't imagine what the guy was thinking. I'd just not notice it???

This one sells today. I didn’t look in depth at the photos till now, but has this car had a cage in the back? Photos 81-83 shows what looks like cutouts for a cage in the carpet on the transmission tunnel in the rear.

I think what you're seeing is the standard carpet mold where the area is recessed for cars equipped with seatbelts. On the GT3 they just don't cut the hole for the buckle to pass through, but the mold is the same.

You’re probably right. I haven’t seen one of these GT cars (or probably haven’t noticed) where the carpet has started to sag in this recess especially as bad as this car.

Not a clean example. Lots of problems with this car and I would take a clean .2 GT3 (non-RS) any day of the week over this car.
