Thanks for the info and reaching out - hope he discloses the info, or at the very least doesn't advertise it as being a no accident no paint work car. I'd expect any dealer to trust but verify. When a dealer gets the car in, paint meter it for yourself before a claim is made.

You are probably correct as pricing increases and $$ spent to bring a car up to snuff matches other asking prices.
The last time I saw the car it had all striping except for DRIVERS side quarter panel.
Don't know why.

I have it in for a PPI. Saw it on PCA as I was looking at some other stuff there and was about to log off and when I hit the back button there it was. So I called the guy and was going to try to negotiate a little but could not at that moment and then it got posted here and others on the PCA website saw it and any negotiating power was gone. Suddenly there were 9 inquiries, 3 serious, so I said fine. I have it in for a PPI and if there is an issue that waves me off I'll let anyone else here have the PPI I paid for. No sweat.

I'm hoping it wasn't a track rat. I suspect not because it's got a lot of carbon fiber on the interior and I've had a 997 with it before and it's so fragile I would avoid it if I was going to beat it hard.

Service less than 1400 miles and 2 years ago including RS4.0 clutch, pressure plate, bearing, front and rear seals, water pump, expansion tank, thermostat, all new hoses and gaskets, engine mounts, coolant lines pinned, Sharkwerks elbows, and an alignment.

At $106k I think it's about right given a $140k sticker and $15k in service, don't you? I don't think it's a steal but a decent deal.

Carfax is clean VIN WP0AC29908S792174 if anybody has history on it I'd love to hear it.

Carfax

That's a fair price for that car in today's market. I'd say that's about $8-10k in service at an independent, although in Houston, it could be more. I do think he had it done at PNH though, so dealer prices would have been around $15k I would imagine for all of that and all genuine parts.

Regarding the carbon interior, I don't think I would necessarily let that be the judge of track time, but it should be clear during the PPI if there was track use and if so how much. As long as the PCCB's were taken off during track days, some track time would not concern me. But it sounds like you're talking more about a track rat and not just a DE here and there.

Wonder if it went to an owner of if they just wholesaled it to get rid of it. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Yea thanks. And thanks for the response you sent me. I love my 997.2 GTS but I live at the base of the San Gabriel mountains and bought a house that's 2 miles from Highway 39 / Azusa Canyon. It's such a great road. And I can get to Highway 2 in 25 minutes I guess. I really enjoy going up there on my Ducati and the GTS is great but I want something with more of an edge.
