The 997 GT3/RS Cars For Sale Thread...

I'm also buying a GT3 to be a driver. Probably 8-9 thousand miles per year and track perhaps 2-3 times per year. But, I don't want stories, damage, neglect, or a car that requires tens of thousands in fixes beyond the purchase price. For some of us here, $120,000 is a lot to drop on one thing and we WANT to be particular about it. You're welcome to share some of your extra "no f*cks" cash if you think we should approach buying the way you consider best.

Maybe, you are misunderstanding what I’m saying. I’m not saying for you to go and buy a car that needs thousands of dollars in repairs, etc. All I’m saying is that some buyers would pass on a car that had a panel repainted or the miles are a little too high, or the leather have some creases, etc., even if the car is well priced. I know we have buyers with different budgets and different use for their purchase. If you are looking for that one owner, under 10k miles, perfect paint and interior, garage queen, get ready to pay a premium price for this.
The majority of the cars currently available have multiple owners, some miles and possible a few blemishes. These cars are 10-14 years old and most have seen a track, even if the seller denies it. I wouldn’t run away from these kind if cars unless I’m looking for one to keep preserved for the next buyer. Most of these cars are meant to be driven and are not investments. The good thing about cars that are not perfect is that you won’t feel guilty putting some miles on them. The bottom line is that the price should reflect the condition of the car.
In speaking with a high end car dealership owner, he told me that even new cars from the lot may have had a panel retouched after incidents that occurs at the docks. In these cases the factory is not obligated to tell the dealership of the repaint or incident and most dealership won’t find out about it.

The other thing to consider is that, at some point, we are all likely to sell for one reason or another. Selling one of these vehicles is a LOT easier when the "stories" are either limited - or non-existent. And I'm not talking about "maximizing profit" on any potential increase in value. I'm strictly talking about time on the market. A "no-stories" example is going to move much more quickly than an example with "stories".
uofront it was wrecked, Cool, let me find out after the fact. I am pissed. Range 3’s. I don’t care. It is resell. There will come a day that I sell the car. Others aren’t as passive as me. I was talking to robo last night and we discussed this. I shouldn’t worry about resell, but I do. I take care of my cars, and willing to buy one that needs work. I prefer a non storied car. Hence why I haven’t bought an RS yet. It has been a challenge, but I press on. I’ll find one. Maybe Doug will 😉

I think a lot of people have a lot of spare cash right now, No vacations, air travel, hotels, food and bar, spa days, tours, shows, all that stuff adds up. People aren't buying expensive work suits. Less money spent on gas. Sprinkle in stimulus money, 36% of which is being banked, fat 401K's, and housing prices going crazy, The vast majority did not lose their jobs, and they are doing home improvements and the guys want a car. Or a stereo. Our business shot up like a rocket. I'm friggin beat, and so are my employees. At 10am I peeked in on our phones and there was already 10 voicemails left by customers that could not get through to a salesperson. We're a big Klipsch dealer and I heard today their sales numbers doubled in 2020.
Hmmmm... People spending money like drunken sailors. I've heard this tune before....now what was it?

Hey, with that 4.0 (showing white wheels),... what color rims do you end up with, when you get both Option 347 (Wheels painted in GT Silver Metallic), and Option 430 (19" GT3 Wheel Painted White with Center Lock) ???
Does 430 override 347?
regarding market pricing for our 10 - 13 yr old 997 GT cars,... have you guys been following the 991 GT subforum discussions on pricing for .1's & .2's?? Theres a lot of talk over there on the rising prices over the last 4-5 months. Definitely right about excess cash out there. Wonder what the actual Spring is going to look like...
Hey KDAWG, I can't remember, do you still have your '91 964 Turbo?

Curious why this car doesn't get a mention on this forum? Maybe I missed it. 2007 GT3 RS at Barnaba I think they dropped the price $10k
2007 GT3 RS Pumpkin
