It seems that the 7.2 RS is doing fairly well compared to the overall collectible car market. I didn’t buy to collect myself. Thus, a close to 10k mile car, instead of lower miles, and a non-PTS color. I bought it to drive it for fun. However, if it depreciates less than most toys or gains value, I won’t be disappointed. Two to three years ago the same car would have been quite a bit more than I paid, so can’t complain about that either...

A lot of hoohaa lately. Let’s be real guys, if you’re in the market a GT car, it’s better now than it has in the past. A seller on the other hand, well.....you know that story as well. Be a discerning buyer and please get a ppi. You’ll save yourself some headache and don’t settle unless it can be negotiated.
Look at that 2011 RS that sold recently on BAT? You didn’t need a ppi to see some questionable history. Thankfully the seller showed some pictures. But even then I feel that went for 5-10k over for condition. A slew of rusty case bolts and the drain bolt? You got to be kidding me. Cosmoline or not, these 964 cases don’t do that unless they’re something up.....and that’s just the ones you can see....Also, and you guys can gripe all you want, if you’re selling some pccb’s, it an expensive wear item (so much so, most here take them off and use steelies) so include the weight measurements. It’s like the dme. If you don’t know the seller personally, well there you have it.

Nothing says kid seat more than that.

Collector grade. That valuation term is all to carelessly thrown around. I’m pretty sure there is wear both inside and out.

Look at the description. The owner thinks “Collector Grade” is somehow 25k+ miles and associated wear......I mean there are those that might be fooled.

That status might work for a 65 911 up to id say a 3.2.

No way a 2011 car is collector grade at 25k miles. Maybe the rear seatbelts add $40k😆

Hey Doug. I believe we spoke around 2011 about a 2008 GT2 you and/or Switchcars may have had for sale. It would be awesome if you can assist with this new acquisition now. PM me. Now, I a reasonable man (and pay premium for unique things I want), but I’m also technically in sales; from a cup of water to commercial aircraft. If you do have the leads on these cars, then it takes nothing more than a couple of phone calls and/or emails. Let me know the price. We can draw up any paperwork you like. I appreciate specialized skills and I’m into building business relationships; so if you can provide a service, I would not double-cross (specially for something as simple as this). Let me know how you’d like to set it up. But I’m not inclined to pay anything without knowing end result.

Time is money/peace of mind, and all that...

This one is 'Willow Green'. Is it a repaint?

Send Doug the money he’s reasonable and painless to work with. You’re paying for his knowledge in dealing in 997 GT cars and years of collecting data. I’ve bought 2 cars from him and he found me a 1 of 5 PTS RS.
