The delta between a .1 RS and .2 RS
I was just talking .2GT3 vs .2RS 4-5 years ago, I am not versed enough to know how the .1RS market is doing, but it seems very strong.

When these cars were new the delta was $20k and some people complained then the difference wasn’t worth it. Think it was worth it then from a driving standpoint and even in 2019, but there is more riding on the delta now than that. It now has to do with the RS badge, the looks, and it’s the last generation RS to be available with a manual gearbox. All things considered especially from a driving standpoint the delta nowadays is IMO not worth it. Would rather have a GT3 and a 981 GT4 (or 987 Cayman R) than one RS. Plus there are mods you can do to make the GT3 very very close to an RS.
When I bought my car, debated the .2 vs RS, my office spot is right in front and very visible and I wanted subtle, so the stickers and bigger wing were not positives for my situation, but I thought I remembered a closer delta... thanks for your input. .
Another thing I remember back then was there were a lot of RS cars available, this was around Touring deliveries, so maybe that was a factor of timing, more supply keeping prices down?

Totally get it. There are generally more cars for sale when a new model is out as people clearing space in their garage. When the 991.2 GT3 came out with a manual a lot of guys traded in their 997 GT3/RS’ for them. Some thought the value on these would tank as it wasn’t the last manual GT3 anymore and they wanted to get out of them. Others just wanted the latest manual GT3. I think the quality of 997 GT3/RS’ coming up for sale has gotten better since 2019-2020. When the market goes up the people sitting on really nice examples are willing to sell and when it plateaus or drops there seem to be less of those coming up.
The .2 on BaT just posted just a couple paint meter readings. Looks like 4-5.5 across the board except a door, which shows 7.0. Is the prevailing view that 7.0 is high?

Saw that. super clean car even that driver's seat. Back driver's wheel looks to have been refurbished and some curb rash repaired. could just be lighting but it does look a tad bit lighter in color along with sanding around the perimeter. Would 't stop me from bidding on the car as it's a candidate for E07's.
Do you guys prefer aqua or cobalt? Not much of a difference between them cobalt is a little lighter and have a slight preference for it. Can’t find any good pictures comparing the two.

Neve seen aqua in person, but my first PCar was Cobalt. Loved it. Very cool in person. A Cobalt .2RS would be a treat.

If I had the option, it would be Aqua. Also, since it was a standard color I would also prefer it over paying extra for it as PTS like on Doug's .2 car. If it was a .1 I would take Cobalt for the same reason.
The Cobalt .2 GT3 looks to have been enjoyed by its previous owner. Not in a bad way, but car had over 50k miles and seems like he did a lot of trips with it. Found this blog where he talked about one of his trips in the car.
