You know what they say? Lazy owner, car suffers. I'd be wary on deferred maintenance also. That rear GT3 script is not placed correctly and looks to be plastidipped. Also looks to have been partially stored outside. Hope he doesn't own dogs too.

This car looks like a hot mess, regardless of its milage. the scaling and corrosion on the engine case and in the engine bay is a red flag to me aswell, as these cars had a wax coating applied to the engine and suspension components that turn brown over time. this car does not have it and I'm afraid it was stored outside for prolonged periods of time or worse driven on salt-covered roads.

Just goes to show you that Milage doesnt always correlate with condition.

Nothing says GT3 like a nutmeg Yankee Candle air freshener.

Nothing says I don’t really give a f@ck like missing fasteners.

It's really hard to tell. I think it is just photography as pic 1 doesn't look right in terms of gaps but then pic 15 does. Then in pic 1 fender looks darker than the door and pic 15, the door looks darker than the fender. I'd want to see this one in person before bidding.

The door handle color looks ok to me, but the photos aren’t good so not 100% sure.
I'd be surprised if this one meets reserve or if it does, it's going to be one of the lower 997 GT3 results. Seller replied that there's no DME and he won't be able to get one and that paint meter readings aren't available. For Porsche guys spending over $100k on a car, those are going to be musts. The underside has definitely seen salt.

A friend of mine and I just got his Cayman R on BAT and tried to make it where people wouldn't even need to ask questions about the car. I think 200+ photos, minimum, along with a DME and paint meter readings are a must. We rented a Durametric off eBay for $40 and I have a paint meter, even then you can find a paint meter for $150-200 that will be good enough for an auction. So you're talking about maybe $200 in cost to get thousands more on the sale.

I think this is a good candidate when RNM hits, to reach out to him personally and lowball, lowball lowball.

All fair game when it comes to Amazon. They have a department monitoring customer returns. If you seriously abuse it, as many in the low budget entertainment industry do, they will ban you from returning on Amazon. I've got friends that can't return there anymore. Super low budgets with high expectations from these unrealistic production companies and the fall guy ends up being the art director, designer or decorator.

Man, I remember not that many years ago when the .1 struggled to finish auctions not much higher than the current bid.

Its crazy the change in perception of these cars and/ or just the growing audience. When I first lusted for a gt3 back in 2016 and started planning for one (a 5 year plan), I thought I'd be spending around 85-90 tops for a really nice example and wasn't even concerned about scarcity. Life/ the world is funny like that.

Yes, my first one was when an acquaintance was trying to sell it as he got into road bicycles and never drove it, It had the same miles, 25k as this gray one and my price was in the 60's. It had some dings in it from his kids in the garage but nothing my PDR guy couldn't fix. It was a city driver and I cleaned her up real nice.

This one ends in under an hour. Would be so much more awesome if it had PCCB’s. Hardcore lightweight spec with the clubsport package, PCCB’s, and no extra leather or tech bits such as PCM. The stone guards on the side are yellowed which they typically do as they age and the inner door sill guards at least on the drivers side are scuffed up despite the car having no miles. Person may not have been driving it, but still sat in it dreaming of what it would’ve been like to drive 😭.

My third kid is going through high school now and his friends know the GT3 more than his two siblings friends did five years ago. I would just smile and wave when kids would yell, "rev it" in the past. Now, I push the clutch down and tap the gas a couple times. I figure each time I do this, it pushes the future value up for when they make some money in a few years.

Same. I thought that was a lot at the time, and even if I waited a few years to get one, I’d spend $90k or so, maybe a bit less due to depreciation. Never expected it to go up in value in a short time.

Before I got my .1, every few months I’d always be looking for ‘what else is out there.’ My GT has helped stop that car buying addiction. Now I can’t stop spending money on it….

100% clearly this is a very poor listing.

hopefully he has set a realistic reserve.

everything has its price and will find its level.

I’m sure the owner is very busy and has lost interest in this car a long time ago.

It’s not beyond saving by any means but needs to have realistic expectations as regard sale price
