I have not haha, but I just like gt3rs 4.0 more. It’s cooler to me, nothing negative about the CGT

That's a hell of a job. Any chance he's still hiring!? Must be amazing to have access to a CGT.

I know we're getting a little off topic but just wanted to add something that two friends who owned CGT's said independently. Their CGT's were A to A cars vs. A to B cars. Great for a driving experience but could not be used for traditional driving like any 997 could be. That does not detract from how great they are but limits the use. I likely will never have own a CGT but i'm a practical driver. I like cars that I can take anywhere without drama. That's a huge reason why I love the GT cars. To most, they are a 911 with a wing vs. what they really are.

I spent about 100 miles riding shotgun in one of my friend's cars and it is next level on sound and feel just from the passenger seat. I just prize usability more. Well there's that and price of entry

It's crazy to think that not all that long ago you could buy a CGT for the price that Merit is asking on the Aqua 997.2 GT3RS they currently have in inventory. I know a lot has happened between that time and the present day but it does boggle the mind a bit

I still do my own maintenance, I was an aircraft mechanic way back in my Army days, and I still enjoy doing everything possible myself.

With all that said, I've been wanting to mention what I belive will happen regarding 997 GT3's and GT3 RS' in the not-so-distant future, compared to the later and current 991,992 and later GT3/GT3RS.

I firmly believe that the 1999-2012 Porsche GT3/GT3RS models will be the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS of the future.

OK, that is just my opinion, but I do believe that it will happen someday.
It's just a matter of time. Low mileage (under 15k) 997.1-997.2 RS will be 400-500k cars in the near future.

I've been lucky enough to ride shotgun in a friends CGT and it's a nearly other-worldly experience. However, the valuation and price of parts of those cars would truly make them Point A to Point A cars to so many of us, and I agree one of the greatest things about a Porsche 911 is the ability to kind of blend in while having your fun. My 997.1 GT2 is practically invisible to most people in my region, and only a real enthusiast understands how special and rare it is. With a CGT, there is no blending in and no escape. It's like a UFO on the road!

Merit Partners has in this white/red .2 RS. 16k miles, PCCB, FAL, and full leather. Priced at $330k. $100k+ less than the other .2 RS’ (particularly the gray/gold and blue/gold) they have. Remember this was for sale a couple years ago it had on a set of BBS wheels. Unusual a 997 GT3 RS has all season tires on it as this one does.
