Agreed. I'm very excited to be on the cusp of picking up a ROW spec 997.1 clubsport later this week (luckily, we have the more lenient 15 year importation rule here in Canada).

I've been lucky enough to ride shotgun in a friends CGT and it's a nearly other-worldly experience. However, the valuation and price of parts of those cars would truly make them Point A to Point A cars to so many of us, and I agree one of the greatest things about a Porsche 911 is the ability to kind of blend in while having your fun. My 997.1 GT2 is practically invisible to most people in my region, and only a real enthusiast understands how special and rare it is. With a CGT, there is no blending in and no escape. It's like a UFO on the road! ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

says people that do notice say things like “my neighbor has a carrera too”

1) all the parts are prob there
2) any track time it “did” have wore on the GMG parts, so calipers/rotors etc are great condition prob (not enough miles even at the track to wear the hubs)
3) everything they changed is suspension or cosmetic, most of that I’d leave because it’s better than OE, $3k in labor would take that whole car back to stock in full even the things that “sound hard” like the clutch and shifter kit
4) the tranny was rebuilt like 4K miles ago so it’s essentially new

Blue/Gold .2 RS. 7k miles, PCCB, and full leather. Asking $430k. I personally prefer this car over the one at Merit Partners as no sport chrono, FAL, PCM, white gauges, and rollbar. Previously owned by @C.J. Ichiban .

I assume it’s no contest for you guys if you’d rather have that 997.2 RS or this 992 RS they also have that isn’t a ton more.

Any of those blues w/the gold/silver under 10k I think will end up in collections, even if those are called dealer inventory (they just feel like the new collector who’s cars also happen to be for sale) esp since we lost one last year to Dubai

Is the price differential between a 997.1 vs 997.2 RS really worth it based on the driving experience for those that have driven both?

It’s still there. For some reason that link doesn’t work anymore. The production numbers they posted are off.

Magnus Walker video of the White Collection that’s going up for auction next month. Have a 997.1 and 997.2 RS going up on the block. I do love white Porsche’s (especially on motorsports cars), but 50+ in that is a bit much. Would want some variety.
