I connected with Doug - it’s out of my budget but very fair price IMHO. Hope someone here grabs it so it doesn’t end up shuffling through speculators

I thought this sold high too. I guess it’s good for existing owners as these new higher market prices are established lol

Lol everyone says these cars are for the track, yet no one wants one tracked

In 30-40 years nobody will care if it was tracked or not. Who passes on buying a '73 RS today because it was tracked back in the 70's...?

Track days don't hurt cars more than bad driving habits or poor maintenance.

Buy these cars assuming they’ve been on track at one point or another (to some varying degree). I can find you the cleanest car you’ve ever seen and it’s likely seen some track time.

Did some digging on the 997.1 that has been reduced a bit (originally $150K in June, now down to 139.5K): https://mart.pca.org/ads/62696

Some colorful history with the seller (William Wollett) apparently backing out of a BAT purchase and ending up in a flame war on Pelican:

Not sure what to make of it as the car sounds clean-ish from the ad but that just seems like a lot of personality to deal with on the seller side

Was this car listed on BAT by 911r in the past?

Pumpkin .1 RS with 13k miles, PCCB, and full leather. Asking $320k. Mods that I can see include a roll bar, aftermarket radiator grills, painted center console, and replacement Alcantara steering wheel (original would’ve been leather). Car was for sale at the end of last year in Chicago for $279k.

Top seller that knows how to make an auction listing, coupled with a .2 in white which to many is the best color for that model, and it has all the most desirable options. Like wow. The painted center console, seatbacks, embossed logo with full leather, PCCB, DEM, FAL, yellow seatbelts, it's really really nice.

The only knock is it isn't "collector" miles, but 38k is low. The graphics didn't bother me, but if they do remove them. If it were 18k miles and no graphics it would easily go over $200k. So if you figure a buck a mile x 20k miles, it's right where it should be. Man.....nice car. If the new buyer is here, congratulations.

Except for buckets, which these days are getting very expensive to source if you want a set.

that's a nice Pumpkin.
PCCB is essential.

Hah, I knew that photo looked familiar:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-911-gt3-70/

Never a good sign when the seller of a 30k+ mile car borrows a photo from a listing with 600 miles on it

yes, but it seems that at least half of base GT3 owners/buyers prefer the standard sport or adaptive seats so I'm not sure they actually make a difference in the value of the car. No doubt they are getting expensive as a stand alone part, but no one is paying $10k more for a GT3 with buckets, all else being equal.
