I could easily daily a 997 RS, hell no I will never daily a new 3rs ever again. 997 RS is better because manual and its livable on the street

I would imagine a 4rs is as bad or worse than a 991.2 gt3rs as far as comfort goes, but admittedly have NOT driven one yet.

I've owned 997.2 and 991.2 RS at the same time and gone between them. I think the rebound on the 991.2 is a bit quicker which can result in some harsh bouncing when going over a series of quick bumps. Otherwise, not sure I noticed much difference in ride. The overall feel of the car is a bit more muted in the 991.2RS in terms of sound and steering. Much more traction in the newer platform. I prefer and still own the 997 though.

Side note, I think my 991.2 GT3 sounded better than the RS because the induction noise came through much louder. I suppose the side intakes mute the sound a bit. All of my cars, I run without mufflers.

Are you all sure it sold? I know the seller posted "sold" but it hadn't even been 24hrs from when it was listed. Most people don't move THAT fast, unless it went to a dealer.

If this sold through Merit recently does anyone know what that price was? I'm not as eagle eyed as many of you (plus I don't have the history), but that actually seems like a nice car. PCCBs, white console and painted seat backs is a hot look IMO. No stupid colors on the instrument gauges. The belts match the brakes. Some alcantara wear on the wheel and shifter but who cares? I wonder what this will go for...

Edit: Looks like the listed price last year was 190k. I wonder what it went for or if it sold.

Fairly high MSRP on this one. Not a fan of the white painted interior pieces but other than that it's a nice spec. Still don't know how people trash alcantara so badly and that's not even the original steering wheel.

997 steering and shifter are way more lively and fun for sure. The traction on the 991.2 is just insane tho and it’s in another league, doesn’t make it better though. Way more boring on the street as it’s too good, I myself like 997 more

Dirt and grime can damage Alcantara also have noticed people who wear super grippy racing gloves frequently wear the material down faster. The steering wheel is likely the original one, but the shift **** isn’t. This car was optioned with the thicker Alcantara wheel which comes with the black trim. Optioning the free leather wheel was required to get the thicker Alcantara one.

Interesting - I've owned a couple of cars with alcantara steering wheels before and with some regular upkeep they looked like new even after several years. Also, I hadn't realized you had to order the leather wheel to then get the thicker alcantara wheel but sure enough there it is on the build sheet option codes 841 and CLA. Learn something new every day.

It was like that with black wheels also. Had to order silver ones that would be put on in the normal production line then would be replaced with black ones at Porsche Exclusive.

This listing for this one is gone. Don’t know if it sold or they just pulled the car off the market not sold. The price has remained the same.

The listing clearly says "sold." Anecdotal evidence, a few years back I listed a 964 for sale on a Sunday night for what I thought was a pretty outrageous price and then I went to bed. I had 4 PMs by the time I woke up next morning, the first guy who said he wanted it wired the money and it was in my account by 10AM. So yeah, these things can move pretty quickly.

It is sold or pending sale. I was talking with the owner on Facebook yesterday shortly after he posted it. I was making plans to go out to Chicago this weekend to look at it and he messaged me later in the day that someone had bought it. Not sure what he got for it, but I do believe the list price was more of a throw it out there and see if someone bites. The number he noted privately that would take it off his hands was within $10k of market value/similar sales. Nice looking car and I'm sure he got good money for it.

lawrence1 can't accept the fact that these cars cannot be had for $100-150k anymore. Move on.
