I had a sighting yesterday while getting my Alfa Romeo serviced. Clay, the owner of CNC Motors walked in. I said hello but didn't ask for any update. I suspect he's still trying to make a living. I had a warehouse located next to his much earlier location in Upland many years ago.
The passenger side front seat comes out with 4 torx bolts so that’s how we roll.
Also helps keep the passenger seat far away from little grubby feet too. 😁
I have the passenger seat safely wrapped and tucked away in basement.
You've got a nice car there. Make sure you sweep all that money off the table for that beautiful family you have there. Clean that body, scrape those stickers off the windshield and present it it's best light. It will be worth it.
This whole thing feels bizarre. His friend wants to buy it for 120k but instead he’s looking for a quick sale to a stranger on here at the same price?

If your serious I would spend $2500 to clean it up and present it for sale... or if you want us to tell you to keep it as a family sedan, I think that's pretty creative.
I’m actually just that out of touch. I haven’t done anything Motorsport related in about 5 years, gotten into shooting sports instead.
The back story is that I bought the car as a CPO for $110k back in 2013 or so.
I offered it to my friend during COVID for $110k but he couldn’t swing it.
I had heard that prices had gone up so I offered it to him for a little more at this time ($120k) but based off his reaction it seemed I may have underpriced it.
The reason why I got semi-motivated is that I park my gun range beater Subaru outside because the garage is full of Porsches and this happened.
Falling ice outside the house convinced me I need to free up a garage space.
So that’s my story. I was looking to sell to a friend what I paid for it and then with minor COVID adjustment but wanted to see if I was crazy undershooting. He didn’t offer to buy it, I offered to sell it.
I am NOT looking to sell it at $120k to random Joe blow. I wanted to know if I was dumb for offering to sell it for $120k.
I am also the guy who was going to sell my 15’ GTR to my other friend for $35k and he said “um that’s too low.” So I looked and then sold it to the dealership for $71k.
So I’m just that out of touch. I’m not looking to make the most money off the car. Nor am I looking to make bidding wars out there. My intent was to get a sense of a non-garage queen markdown price range for something like this.
I don’t know what the cool kids like these days. I’m a middle aged suburban dad.

let me just reassure you, you got what the cool kids want! The only thing your car could have that would make it worth more is the leather package... if your over-revs are reasonable once your car is cleaned up you'll get a great price. I think it could do 170 on BAT since your seats are spec.
I tried to buy this car. Seller seems like a nice fellow, but handling the sale in an unusual manner in my opinion.
Sounds like that joker who lied about his pcarmarket transaction should come out of the woodworks and make a deal with this guy. A match made in heaven!

I’m definitely unusual!
For disclosure, multiple people have DMd me with offers and I am not letting anyone raise their offers. I’m also not telling anyone what anyone else’s offers are and I’m also not necessarily going to sell to the highest offer!
I have a fondness for the car and I want to make sure it goes to a good home so I’m vetting the most attractive offers.
I didn’t post a “for sale” ad because I wasn’t planning on selling it to strangers. So that’s why there’s not a hard and fast price.
I’m unusual. I would rather leave money on the table for someone who is going to love the car rather than sell for more at the dealership.
I’m a physician and we make terrible business people.
At the end of the day I care more about happiness than money and objects.

PM'd you - this is the exact car I've been looking for, for over a decade
I have a 2010 997.2 that we used to autocross but haven’t in years. It has 26006 miles on it.
Picture taken today. I was going to sell it to a friend of a friend for $120k. Is that stupid low?
I have probably 8 extra sets of wheels too. Two sets of OEM and a bunch of OZ and a couple sets of Forgelines.
For an autocross (not track) car, does that sound reasonable or am I a chump?
Vinyl wrap has a bubble
That is so sick and great mileage.. I would have tried to buy this if I didn't get a 997.2 turbo recently. It is also one of my dream cars that I thought was unattainable due to covid increases..
Someone is going to be really really happy.. Seller is being difficult trying to buy the buyer, probably to avoid flippers. Commendable and heartwarming that not everything is about price
But on AT it's only listed as a coupe. As my C2S is getting prepped for market (as well as my Camaro), I'm looking at the market to see where I might be and ran across it...

it seems he generated a flurry of interest by posting in here about selling the car to a friend at a below market price. If he’s really interested in selling it to someone who will value and enjoy the car then why not sell it to his friend? Well calculated move on his part.

You must have missed the part buried in the past posts THAT MY FRIEND’S WIFE WOULDN’T LET HIM.
It’s not a conspiracy.
I offered it to my friend for $120k and while he was thinking about it, I asked here to see if I was nuts.
You guys said I was nuts and in the meantime he said he couldn’t swing it this time.
That’s all. I didn’t ask for anyone to DM me!
@mnawa This thread was like a stream of consciousness for me. I messaged my friend when my Subaru got avalanched because I was pissed at parking outside. I asked for $10k more than we had been talking about pre-COVID. I asked here because I didn't know what kind of autox non garage-queen mark down the car would get.
People said it was worth a lot more than $120. So then I asked the local dealership and they offered me $140 and then my next door neighbor offered me $140. But it's not just about the money. I want the car to go to a forever home. I don't care about shining it up and selling it for $160-170 if it means it's more financially accessible for people in the current condition.
And again, I didn't ask for people to DM me. I would be perfectly happy to drive the car this summer and then store it. Values are just going to go up in the future.

Find an alternative place to store the extra car away from falling snow and keep the GT3! Or if I have that totally wrong, still keep the GT3 haha.
The work that were done to this car are not your ordinary bolt-on parts job. Some serious stuff was done to this car by a renowned shop and the best most expensive package they offer. In some cases a Sharkwerks 4.1 GT3 RS may go for a little more than a comparative stock example. However, I think you would be hard pressed to get a significant fraction of the $100k invested in mods back, let alone double whats invested. Hbi bought this car for $195k at auction last year and had it last advertised at ~$250k before removing the listing earlier this year. I’m pretty positive they pulled the listing to send it off to Sharkwerks to be modified. If this is the case then that was a stupid move that could have severely hurt or ruined their chances of turning a profit.
