Think I got a pretty solid deal on my car, $41K 2010 C2 6spd Black coupe 45k miles. Bose, a few other comfort upgrades, no pasm. Single owner all maintenance records from local stealership.

Total scam. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Reported to cargurus to ban that seller.

Pics were stolen from a car previously listed here: http://www.huntingridgemotors.com/ve...911-c4s-coupe/

slautollc.net was just registered on 4/26/2018. Quick google search on VIN shows car has lived in Oklahama, the seller says they're in Kansas, but the domain owner is in Toronto. Description looks like a cut/paste. Their address is 10019 Highway 24, Silver Lake, KS, which is a tire store.

Here's a 997.1 C4S that's priced a little high but more inline with reality. I'd say this car is worth $48k. It should command a small premium because of the low miles, one owner, and commonly desired color combos.

At least a dozen 911s popped up last night for 2 dealers in Pennsylvania that were underpriced by 50% or $20-25k each. The scammers are tricky, using legitimate business names and addresses with review histories. They're aren't on cargurus any longer.

This base model Cayman brought great money for the specs on Bring a Trailer a few weeks ago as well. Also an 11' C2 with 30k miles sold in three weeks asking $48k on Autotrader. So maybe opinion on the color is shifting. I sure wish I could find a GTS for $61k with 19k miles!

Damn that C4S is the EXACT color and specs I am looking for. Too bad it sold already, may have bought it,

Very well priced (IMHO) 997.1 right here on RL.

This is a steal! I dare anyone to come up with more car with this condition and history for $31,500. The color is a big plus too! I would be all over it if I were in the 997 market.

This 2012 Carrera S has been sitting for a while. Has full aero (but PDK). Pretty good deal now, great deal if they would take a little less.

There is a backdoor link to the "old" CPO locator though, it is in a thread over on the 991 forum.

They must have changed it to favor "local" cars over the cars that we enthusiasts want to find. I don't care if my local dealer has 3 base models, all with PDK and no performance options, in black with beige leather. I want sapphire blue, sport design package, with 18-ways, S-PASM and PSE. The new site doesn't allow people to search for those cars.
I %100 concur. It makes it so much harder to search for specific options and models.
For example, for a Macan S I want to eliminate blues from the list (because my 997 is Cobalt Blue), and eliminate beige interiors. And the panoramic sunroof is a must.
Damn near impossible to tailor that kind of search with the new portal. The text search function does not work right at all. It's terrible.

But anyway, thanks for letting me know about the backdoor link. I'll have to bookmark it.

Found the link, and it's way better, but unfortunately still missing some of the functionality of the old search. Oh well, it's better than nothing.

Hi all,

Longtime Rennlist member and frequent lurker here, a previous owner of a 911 and a 964 who has been trying to get back in the game for a while.I'm thinking of simplifying matters and looking at post-IMS cars, so either a 997.2, or a 987.2 or a 981 Cayman (I need a roof). My MUST's are Coupe and Manual, and I'd prefer any color other than red, but after that I'm really really flexible. I plan to put no more than 3,000 miles a year on the car, so high mileage cars are an option for me. Groovzilla's car (linked to above) is very tempting, and I'll probably get in touch with him soon.

But I'm also wondering about the below car. It's high miles, and there is "damage" reported on the carfax, but not an accident – and the damage was 40k miles ago. OBVIOUSLY I would get a complete and rigorous PPI before buying, but do others agree that this seems like a very fair price for a 997.2???

That's a typical dealer price, base 997.2's can be had from $30-$40k in current market but manual does add a premium. PDK cars go for around $35k w. 60-70k miles (mostly private sales).

997 Turbo Tip. Seems like a decent deal at $61k with 58k miles on it. GT Silver on Cocoa.

I think the price is high - similar car but all black and no accidents sold in Houston for $40k last friday but had half the mileage and an all black interior. Car was super clean.

Thanks. Sounds like I may have overestimated prices at the lower end of the 997.2 market.

I would happily pay $40k for a clean, no accident 997.2 with less than 50k on it. And I’d happily pay $35k for one with 75k on it.

I haven’t seen any of those cars, but I’ve only been looking for about a week.
