Not saying it isn't legit, but there are some red flags.
Yep, that matches up. Seems to be a lot of that on Craigslist lately, scammers are getting smarter, finding photos that include real details like service history to make it look more legit. $54k is pretty much dead on, and still likely was a good buy.

Nice catch. The price is at least 10k low, so not I'm surprised.

For those looking to buy... sign up for the PCA (Explorer?) membership. There were a few nice 997.2 cars on the site and in Pano lately... and you're more likely to find a cream puff that was well taken care of by an enthusiast than on the "open" market.

You guys are a wealth of information - thank you - I wasn't even calling, because again - the car has all of the hallmarks of being driven aggressively. But these are good chips to negotiate with.

I saw this same car and ad some time back. It was a scam. I suppose this could be legit, but odds are against it.

Just saw Adams's brown GTS pop up at a significant mark up. I just overpaid for my GTS, now I know why. Dealers are snapping these up as soon as they're available with cash in hand.

Lots of interest when it was posted in the classifieds but it was sold to a "Great home..."

more like a scam. But are you familiar with 911s? Most available tires are 30,000 miles or less tread wear which in reality is even less than that because these cars lose toe easily and all that weight in the rear. They eat rear tires. Same goes for brakes, being a pretty heavy car. If someone truly goes through the effort to change pdk fluid early at 30k that’s a sign of good ownership regardless of tire wear or brake wear.

Yea my wife's rwd 28i BMW is on at least its third pair of rear tires with under 70k miles. Those thin summer rear tires just don't last and her car isn't capable of near the performance of a 911.

I think they try to get you to send them a deposit through wire/western union then disappear with the cash.

If anyone is interested, I will be selling the C4S that I just bought last month. Although I love the C4S, I had already picked up a C2S PDK here on the forum a few weeks prior and that car just suits my needs a bit better (wife already has a C2S 991 7MRT PDCC, PSE, SC, 18-way, full leather equipped cab). The 997.2 C2S PDK and the 991.1 manual cab seems to cover more bases. Luckily, Oregon is a no-tax state, and I paid $56,000 plus $890 for the ceramic coat, and the car seems to be worth about that.

Details:
2009 C4S manual, $56,900
49,600 miles
Meteor Grey metallic; Full Black Leather, PSE, carbon package, $110k build.
front bra, pillar bra, ceramic coat applied at time of purchase (last month)
Very clean cosmetically, 2 light scratches (I will have pics) and a few small rock chips (Oregon car, impossible to avoid). Interior is very clean.
new tires, up to date on service, passed PPI with flying colors. All records from local dealer: 40k service done 4 years ago and 3 years ago (prior to CPO) and also a clutch overhaul at 37k miles due to some stickiness. I spoke with the mechanic prior to purchase and he said "buy this car! It is basically new with the full CPO workup I did. The previous owner spared no expense").
Car is super tight, as is the transmission.
For a 50k mile C4S, this is a really, really clean car with great documentation. I would also entertain a trade for another 991 or possibly a Cayman or Boxster Spyder (plus or minus cash obviously)

Car is a bit dirty on drive home

Nothing like capitalism, car was listed on here for $76,000, dealer bought it and listed it for $88,000. That was a fantastic car at $76,000 but at $88,000, not so sure anymore when you are approaching 997 GT3 territory as well as 981 GT4. Nothing against the original seller, just the fact that the dealer is now selling it for an insane price.

I personally thought $76k was the ceiling, given the color not being most people's "cup of tea". $88k is ridiculous unless one is betting on "rarity" to keep prices high. These cars aren't that rare.

I actually like this Macadamia color combo on this car. Price is high most likely because of the low mileage at 19k.

Funny, I have always liked Macadamia since I first saw it on a 997 many years ago. Every time one comes up for sale, people insist the color will hold it back, but in my observation Macadamia cars get snatched up very quickly.

Any thoughts on this one:

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ink=true&Log=0

also listed on PCA:

https://www.pca.org/node/327808

Do the aftermarket bumper negatively effect the pricing? I think they look good but I'm searching for my first Porsche and don't want to buy something that I'll regret later. How about the pricing? about $5,000 too high?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
