Sport Chrono is fairly easy to find: probably 65% of the manuals have them

PASM: standard on the S/4S, rare on the base models. SPASM is rare on anything.

Full leather: not uncommon, maybe 40% of builds? Definitely nice to have, not something easy to add later.

Sport Exhaust: very rare, maybe 5-10% of builds? It also is the least consequential. A Gundo/Fister setup can be added to any car

Adaptive Sport Seats: also rare, maybe 15% of builds? They are nice, especially those of us with slender endurance-athlete frames. Can be added however at a later date.

When searching, I looked for a car that had adaptive sport seats, full leather, sport chrono, and a manual. A great car at the right price came along with all but sport seats, and I don't regret the purchase. If I want later on, they are easy enough to add: they come up for sale used now and then. Sport Chrono is nice, I personally like the clock. Full leather really updates the car. Lack of a manual is a deal breaker

I did find the perfectly spec'd car with everything I wanted, but it was $7500 more than I paid.
Very good info, I definitely appreciate the info. Do you happen to have any info about adaptive sport seats and retrofitting? I always figured if I would want to do 18 ways, that I would probably end up having to change around wiring. I know that the 18 ways have memory. Even the 2 ways I figured would require some new wiring of some sort.

How does CarFax "Other damage reported" compare to "accident reported" ? So many buyers are not interested in cars with accidents but how about cars with other damage?

ANY negative carfax entry is going to have a potentially significant impact on value, particularly if there are minimum details or documentation...

'Other Damage' might just be a vandal breaking out a tail light, or could be extensive hail damage on every single panel of the car. If you don't know the level of the 'other damage', buyer beware.

Can a good Auto Body shop determine what has been repaired? Say you can't figure it out. How much value does that knock off a Porsche? 20%? 30%?

Sigh... so if I daily my car and it gets a fender bender it’ll tank my resale. Such is life with a Porsche.

If you get into a fender bender, have the insurance company compensate you for loss of value. I didn't even have to get a lawyer involved to get mine when I was hit in my 135i. You may have to get a lawyer involved, but they will usually do so.

THe 2007 4S at the same place for about the same price as the low mile base Carrera is the better deal, I think. More miles but so what. But I would make them change the climate unit out as its buttons are flaked off.

I don't think I could ever sell my 997.2 C2S. It's that good. Cars are arguably dead. They're all bloated and characterless. The 997.2 is the last real deal 911.

Given the damage report on Carfax, what do you think this is worth? Sure looks good...(amazing that the sellers couldn't even get the description right)

This one is odd, it shows a clean carfax and currently owned from 9/2015 to 10/5/2017. Also had a recent service at 43300 miles. Something isn't adding up.

The ad said sold: it was posted 29 days ago. That would make sense. Might have been legit; if so, did that buyer ever score! But the mileage doesn't make sense. Was it done in Central Oregon (Porsche of Bend or German Master Tech)?
