Is that dealer price? Might be a little high. A recent one owner, all records 997.2 6MT with similar options sold for $52k; it was a C4, but the .2 C4 is a bit more desirable than the older .1 C4S. Similar power output, but better suspension and useable PCM (the old one isn't compatible with modern phones). Based on that, mid to high 40's sound reasonable.
I figured it was a little high but it's a nice car. Might be worth a little extra to purchase from the original owner.

Very reasonable C2S 6MT, under 50k miles. Sport seats, full natural leather interior, dealer maintained. I haven't seen a clean one listed for under $50k in awhile!

Just completed a PPI on an '06 S with 39k mi. DME report shows following:
1 - 7300
2 - 1087
3 - 162
4 - 41
total 1569 hr and overrev in range 4 was at 818 hr and the others were @ 1524
I am concerned about the range 3 and 4
Thoughts?

Do most people find want to buy threads to help them, or are they mostly filled with spam requests?

I totally understand what you are saying, my question was centered around if people that put on want to buy threads tend to get only auto brokers, or friends that are selling cars for their friend, or spam from non legitimate sellers? Or if most people seem to find want to buy threads helpful. Hope my question came across properly.

The over rev in range 4 was long enough ago that I wouldn't be concerned, and the range 1,2,3 you shouldn't have to worry about. Best of luck!

When I was searching, my WTB ad brought in only 1 good lead at KBB private party. The rest were people looking for dealer retail plus some, or people with 1 post who were scamming.
Not that helpful, IME.
Now, in the audio world, I have had much better luck getting the right gear at a good price. But with Porsches, it seems that some people are emotionally attached to their car and over-value it. I wasn't going to pay $68k for a 2010 C2S with 44,000 miles on it, sorry. I would have paid 1/2 between retail and wholesale, but not retail plus some (unless it were PTS Voodoo, then perhaps we can talk...).

This answered my question perfectly, might still be worth it to me to post one, but just to filter who I get. If it is someone with one post, then probably not legit. But if someone is actually thinking about selling and is a Rennlist member for a long time, then that might work. Really appreciate it.

Reason I ask....KBB regularly undervalues 911s vs what the market will pay.

KBB can be low or accurate; but in this case, the guy was asking full dealer retail CPO'd price. I think the most KBB discrepancies come out in the spring, when inventory is sitting over the winter. This time of year, values are more accurate, but they can be a little low. If I am pricing a car I want off KBB, I go Private Party plus around $2k on a 911. I won't, however, pay dealer retail plus some; those are the people that are too attached to their cars and wonder why they sit up for sale for 6 months.

Nik sold his 09 C4S with 19k miles and a carfax blem (rear bumper, small repair) for $54,500, so that sounds correct. Maybe a bit low, as he could have gotten $58k for his no problem without the blem.
