A 2006 C2S base MSRP was $81,400. And I do not see $60k+ in the option list of that car.

It's a PCL car, not PCNA. Canadian dollars are higher than USD. ~$114K USD

From my research when I was still in the market for a 911, the steel rotors can set you back anywhere from $1500-3000+. Theoretically you only need to swap rotors but it would be wise to have matching pads with each set of rotors (read: don't swap back and forth using the same set of pads).

In turn, you can either keep the PCCBs for resale value of car or sell them for $3-5k+ on the used market (depending on condition and miles of course).

Here's an interesting one if there's no frame damage and all work was well documented and performed at a top notch shop: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sg...326146095.html

That's what I figured but I totally missed the PCL tag.

Does this seem like a good deal, despite the accident (with airbag deployment)

Seller doesn’t seem too knowledgeable about many aspects of his car. That would scare me. Can’t be bothered to take it to a dealer? What else can’t he be bothered with.

Any idea why this car hasn't sold yet? Seems it's been posted for a few months.

I've been thinking the same. While it's not loaded to the brim, it's still a fair deal.

When I first came across his ad back in May, it was listed in the upper 40's. This was when he just bought it in TX and brought it to CA; hence the TX plates in the pics but an emphasis on the CA registration and plates.

IMO, the mileage/price is why it's still hasn't sold yet.

I remember it being around $44k at first, but it's been $42k for at least two months now. Sometimes it feels like 09 997.2's don't fetch much more money than similar mileage 997.1 cars.

The price seems low to me and mileage is normal for it's age. (~8k/yr)

Had this been available at $42k in May, I probably would have purchased it instead of my 997.1

It was the sea of tan interior, nothing to break up the monotony of that color. That was what made me not even pursue this car. If only it had some highlights, ideally maybe the silver parts in the steering wheel and a silver shift **** and silver brake handle (I just saw a car with this interior and it was nice), it would have been more appealing. That and it's 350 miles away (but I should have looked at it when I go to LA next weekend). I actually just bought a car 2 days ago and pick it up tomorrow.

To give you a couple data points since I was on the hunt for a 997 for the last couple months- I was looking at cars in the SFBay area and there were 3, technically 4 possibilities. the most expensive at $42900, at a dealer, was a C4S cab with 37k miles. I offered $42k and they turned me down, oh well- I think I might have dodged a bullet on that one. another car I looked at was a C2S cab, in midnight blue(?) that was $39900 with 47xxx miles. Sold 2 hours after I first looked at it. There was a lapis/stone grey C2S coupe with 78xxx that I was gonna buy but it was sold out from under me- went for $31xxx. That's the one I really wanted but I'm pretty happy with the car I'm in the process of buying now- C2S coupe, full leather, 87k miles, full service records. etc. $33500.
