I have seen a PPI range from $60 to $280. A lot of smaller shops will do a discounted PPI to get you in the door as a customer. When I had a PPI done at SpeedSport in CT, it was $115 for a basic one, or $325 for a scope. That is in high-rent southern Connecticut, so I would imagine Dallas is cheaper. Not everyone charges the Porsche dealer tax. My local dealer was quoting $480 to install clear side markers!

Here in Dallas a good reputable Porsche shop will charge $350 for a thorough PPI.

Does anyone know this car? Thoughts on the price? Decent deal or overpriced? How much of a premium are the low miles worth?

Yea, I'm not talking the Porsche dealer tax either. Reputable independent shops in the Philly area still charge $250+. I figure you get what you pay for.

Do you own a 997? If so, which year? I ask because I'm in the market for my first 911 and leaning towards a 997. If you can share any insights on this car, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yep. Just bought my first 911 this summer. 2006 C2S with 54k miles. This wasn't the car I had in mind initially. I drove it and loved it. Went back, drove it again, and couldn't walk away from the car.
The car itself is very Spartan, even with the full leather interior. My 2nd car is a Benz (I see you have one in your profile photo), and it was a big adjustment inside the car. But we both know you don't buy the 911 for the high-tech/luxurious interior...
Price wise, it's a bargain to me at the moment. You can buy a clean 997 for around $40k. I have a family and kids, and I love that it wasn't a huge entry price.
Driving the 997 is great. I wanted a true sports car experience, and the 997 delivers that. The 997 felt like the right size. The suspension is stiff and the corning is super tight. Every time I drive the 997 it puts a big smile on my face.
PM me if you want to kick it around. It took me about 2 years to take the plunge.
