I replaced what are probably the original engine mounts on my 05 Launch edition 997. I was getting some funky clunks driving over manholes/bumps on the road, but the engine didn't seem to be sagging much. Replaced both mounts with URO RS mounts in about 40 minutes before meeting a friend. Made the car feel so much tighter, newer, and the clunks are GONE! Also shifts into gear so much easier, 1st, 2nd, 3rd noticeable improvements both up and down. Great way to spend $230

Oily, splotchy, too shiny and greasy to the touch
I tossed aside the pre-soaked leather wipes and returned to a two-cloth method with a light spray of Lexol leather care and buffing with a dry mircrofiber.
Supple, matte finish, dry and without any residue
The same results might have been achieved had I buffed the surface the first time but I was not expecting such poor performance from a Griot’s product, a brand I’ve otherwise been quite pleased with.

It is, the car is absolutely insane, the sound going up interstate on ramps is unholy. Does the wife like the way it sounds from the outside? Yes. Does she like it while driving down the road? Hell no lol. Ear plugs will be required on the track.

More upholstery work... Re-covered the center console again. Not perfect but getting there. Using skived leather is the key. The factory has the panel leather thinned down to .6mm. Finally found a supplier that was able to skive that thin without wrecking the leather. The black Alcantara accents blend well. Pics don't do it justice. The deviated stitching is color matched to the desert tan leather.
Just received my B16"s for my 997.2!!! So excited, loaded them in the back of the car and will be dropping them at the shop tomorrow for install. Paired with the B16's will be Elephant Racing 15mm spacers for the rear and 10mm for the front. I also purchased the shim kit to dial it in further if I feel the need.
Papamurphdog, Sorry, new to this forum and not always sure what's appropriate to share in what thread.
My "new to me" C4S Cab (2010, 60k miles) is at my local dealer getting some work done. I've detailed some of the work to be performed in another thread. The short story is the vehicle was slow to start and I didn't believe the PASM was functioning properly. So I took it in for those concerns as well as a complete inspection.
My plan was for the dealer to install Eibach springs I had purchased in addition to a few other suspension components for a suspension refresh. In addition, I purchased a DSC controller to be installed and paired after the work was complete. While completing the inspection it was discovered that the rear struts were leaking and needed to be replaced. I learned at that time that the 2 rear OEM struts cost more that B6/B8 damptronic struts for both front and rear. I authorized B6's to be installed and the parts were ordered. About 1 week later it was discovered one of the front struts was on back-order for 6-8 weeks. At that time I started doing more research regarding the suspension and what would work on the 997.2.
My original mindset and goal was to install the Eibach's with the existing struts. Once I learned that I would be replacing struts and having to wait, I decided that the B16's paired with the DSC was going to really give me everything that I wanted. And the overall cost was not significantly more. I chose the Eibach's because I believed the stance would be "close" to what I wanted without going to low. With the B16's I am excited to be able to get it dialed in just right for my tastes.
With the lowered ride height I also knew that I wanted to push the wheels out for a more flush look. My C4S came with factory 5mm spacers. Again, based on what I have read and seen on this site I wanted 15mm in the rear and 10mm in the front. I ordered the appropriate set through Elephant racing along with their "shim" kit that included both a 1mm and 2mm shim spacer. I have gathered that many owners use anywhere from 10-15mm on the front. Personally I believe I will like 10mm in the front but will have the option to go up to 13mm with the "shims" if I choose. Or any combination front to rear if I want to tweak things (11F/17R, 12F/15R, etc).
To wrap it up, I'm very excited that I will be getting my car back later this week! When complete the following will have been addressed: NEW HPFP, Clutch, steering rack, front/rear suspension refresh with B16's plus other bits, Manual trans fluid, and Diff fluid.
Pretty sure I'll post a photo with the new stance as soon as I drive it home!
