Well I’ve only driven about 20miles with no “real driving” yet..but so far car feels stiffer in a good /controlled way. I’m 10 clicks from full soft all the way around...

Repaired some badly cracked and raised CF trim on the passenger door. Unfortunately I didn’t take any before pics, but suffice to say the carbon trim had warped and cracked badly, and raised up from the underlying trim. Then someone had grabbed the cf opening up the cubby under the armrest and cracked it further. It‘s not quite perfect, but given enough confidence to tackle the center console next.

Just one opinion and I'm sure you'll get others. I've had stock springs, Eibach and H&R springs between the three 997's I've owned. I honestly have a hard time telling the difference in ride quality from one or the other. These cars weren't built to have a plush ride. But to call the ride "unbearably harsh" with lowering springs as some describe it is over the top imo.

To each their own I guess and the roads you drive on probably play a role too. Florida roads are generally in good condition so the suspension configuration becomes less of an issue in terms of ride quality.

Installed the Rennline 4" shifter riser. The e-brake lever had to be raised with the Function First e-brake riser. The installation was a bit fiddly but the improvement in ergonomics is worth it to me. Also I think the riser looks pretty cool.

I like that riser. Did you have to adjust the cables at all?

No adjustments needed. Once the e-brake is raised up. There's just enough play in the cables to allow the shifter to be mounted on the riser.

I think I’m just copying your set up. This is ridiculous. How do you like the shift ****? I need to find a replacement to my oem alcantara one. Did that metal base come with it?

Would love to know how you tackle this and how it turns out. I've got a couple of areas on one of my CF sill plates that needs similar attention.

I did regular epoxy glue with a bunch of claps to re-attach the trim where it had raised (put something moderately stiff yet flexible over the cf to distribute the force of the claps). The actual CF repair you get clear epoxy resin and just brush it on after pre-sanding. After it cures, then it’s just progressively sanding from 200-2000 (wet from 1000+), with a final polish. I didn’t have to lay any new fabric, really just filling cracks mostly so pretty straightforward. There are YouTube videos...but if you ever fixed fiberglass, surfboards, etc., it’s the same basic process. I’ll do a more detailed post next time.

I had my old yellowed PPF on the bumper and rear arches removed and replaced with a front-end Xpel application. Also added black satin vinyl to the rear valence. I was pretty worried about the old PPF pulling paint, but my my shop was able to remove it with no issues. The new Xpel looks so much better and the arches are nearly invisible. It was expensive, but well worth it. I also installed Radiator Store Grills for the fall leaves.

The wooden shift **** is fantastic. One of my favorite mods on the car. The **** was made by Manuel Campuzano.

Ouch, I never grind within 10m of a car, the tiny airborne iron particles love soft clear and painted surfaces, especially car paint.

If you can, clay the car asap, otherwise tiny rust specks may appear.

Nice work on the DIY, the car does look cool, well done!
