Such a beautiful car, stanced nicely! 18s looks great. Over time this look will grow on people, or not - but for sure I prefer the 18s.

Got a few more painted parts on the car. Installed the numeric cables and shifter. What a pita that grommet is. Looks and feels like I put my hands down a garbage disposal.

Thanks! I’m really liking the meatier 18” look over my 19” Carerra IIs. I may end up keeping these on year round.

Default Lighting update

I replaced the worn factory fog light/turn signal module with LED units. I think the change is fantastic, not only because of the addition of DRLs but also because of the way it updates the look of the car without looking at all out of place. With no error codes, dash lights, or fitment issues this was an easy 20-minute upgrade.

Looks great! Which brand did you use? Did you do the tail lights also?

Thanks! I’m not sure what brand but here is the link for them if you’re interested (no affiliation):

I haven’t done the tail lights just yet, the lenses show no damage or wear like the turn signals did. I would like to update to a 997.2 style LED tail light eventually but the urgency isn’t there right now.

Finally got the 997 turbo lip to sit how I wanted it. I started planning in April...7 months later here we are haha. I wasn't happy with any of the aftermarket front lips out there.

I have the same ones myself. Had the prior LED version before, but like these much better. For one, they're a cleaner look and for two, I actually use the parking light circuit as an automatic DRL and on this style that perimeter parking light is much brighter than the horizontal fiber optic light of the older style.

Yessir, this is exactly what I was going for. A nice bonus is they look great even when they're switched off.

Yes! My car came with only three valve stem caps, two different colors and three different shapes. Black/Silver are in the mail.
