Posting as a data point only. I just purchased a 2011 GTS PDK white, black interior, factory aerokit, sport chrono, heated seats and wheel, xenons, nav, Bose, XM, 18-way seats, and the P17 package (sport PASM and LSD), five-lug, and 22,500 miles. Bought from a dealer who took a trade and gave me a very strong price. I paid $100,000. I believe that I somewhat overpaid, but the car is super clean with dealer maintenance records, two owners prior to me, and full-car PPF and ceramic this year. I went PDK because it will see regular DE track events. I am happy and overpaying a bit doesn't trouble me. It is exactly the car I would have spec'd in 2011 had I ordered.

Congrats!! Sounds like a wonderful car,.. and a long list of options which is very cool. Did they really come with 18-way seats back in 2011? ... I thought the only option with the highest number of movements was 14-way.

I have a 2010 with 14-way,... so just wondering.

Who knows what overpaying is anymore with the pricing of 997's. The way you describe the car you bought it's probably close to unicorn territory. I think you would have to look long and hard to find another one like it. Especially since only 2,656 997.2 GTS coupes were built between 2011 and 2012 so few and far between. Add the options your car has including the ceramic I think you got yourself a unique car with low miles no less. My GTS is a 2011 too but a daily driver so I'm just over 68K miles. If I did the math right, yours has only been driven about 2,000 miles a year since purchased new.

So FWIW, I don't think you overpaid as long as all the special options are what you wanted and would have spec'd if ordered new from a dealer back when they were sold. Based on the factory build sheet of my GTS, I'm guessing yours would approach $130K when bought new. Congratulations. You'll enjoy every moment in that car, quickly forget thinking about what you paid and instead look for excuses to go for a ride.

Yup, the 997 GTS (and all 911s, actually) were available with option P01, 18-way Adaptive Sport Seat (***).
Not uncommon at all, and available back in 2010 as well. I have them in my Feb 2011 build:

In my experience, they are the best street seat in a 997.
The Light Weight Bucket (LWB) Sport Seats look way, way cooler, but are 2-way seats- Forward and Aft.
The weight savings is equal to 3 or 4 gallons of gas in your tank.
Meh.

Take a look at your options back in 2011:

14-way Sport Seat................................................. 18-way *** ................................................................LWB

Oh, the base Carrera was also available with this one:

My 2007 base Carrera had the standard seats...6-way: pump yourself up and down with a handle, manual skootch fore/aft and electric recline.

I developed a sore lower back after only 20 minutes of spirited driving in those seats. Was constantly death-gripping the steering wheel and lock-knee bracing against the dead pedal with my clutch foot to counteract lateral G forces to prevent my torso from sliding against the door or center console. Not fun, safe, comfortable...and fatiguing on hundred mile forays into canyon country.

My GTS, with ***, was an absolute pleasure to drive 8K miles cross country- I NEVER had to stop due to back soreness.
And when I encountered some serious curves, the thigh and shoulder bolsters could be adjusted in an instant to plant me in that seat like it was tailor made for me.
I never have to use the dead pedal or grip the steering wheel to hold me in my AS seats.

Adaptability is the key to success, comfort and peak performance.
Mine are also heated (a real extravagance in sub freezing temps) and have 3 separate memory positions, each of which are paired to the side mirror settings as well.
The positions can be assigned to a specific key, which is handy with multiple drivers.
I use the third position as an "Exit" setting- it drives the seat full back, full upright and fully spreads both upper and lower bolsters.
It takes all of 5 seconds to push the #3 button and move to the setting. It produces an easy, graceful exit and saves the thigh bolster from unnecessary egress wear and tear. Mine look new @ 22K miles.

In my Macan GTS, the *** memory also moves the steering wheel full forward and full up for ease of exit.

There is no substitute.

Congrat's on your new ride.
You paid what would, a short 2 years ago, be considered a ridiculously high price.
Today, not so much.
I have seen 997 GTS coupes sell for $90-105K in the last 3 months, a few with twice the mileage of yours.

A very cool build (the 5-lug wheel option is likely more rare than the Aerokit) and low miles, to boot.
You will have a ton of fun driving it.
For me, it is the best "real road" car in the 997 line.
Sure, a GT3, GT3RS or GT2 is more hardcore- but the compromise they present in comfort, noise and ride would, for most owners, be a negative for long-ish road trips to/from mountains and canyons. A TransCon trip would not be much fun, especially on secondary roads.
Of course, if you are a f-ing badass hardcore, YMMV.

A 997 turbo is entirely separate comparison conversation, but I'd say the GTS's flexibility/livebility is more akin to them than to the GT cars.

To wit:
The 997 GTS is a public street car you can track.
The 997 GT models are track cars you can legally drive on the street.

You now own the Swiss Army knife Porsche 911.
Enjoy the ride.

P.S. This will have to do (ignore the centerline wheels) until you take delivery and post some pics for us:

I paid $99,500 for my 2011 GTS a few months back but it’s almost my ideal spec as well. Mine is a manual though but it had 40,000 miles.
Highly spec,d car. I sold my 991.2 GT3 manual recently.

Prices are high and steady for now but I bought it to drive and enjoy it.

Looks stunning
How does the GTS compare to the GT3? It is very rare to see this kind of transition.. :-)
You bought a very special car! 1 of 2565 GTS Coupe worldwide (much less manual) ;-)

*Congratulations also to the new owner of the GTS (above)

Thanks very much.

GT products are completely different animal, I have had a few 997 GT products as well. The sound, engine, brakes and overall character are very different, and I will admit I do miss it. I felt I had to be doing 150mph in the 991.2 GT3 to feel I was going fast(and it was tracked). The GTS feels like you actually moving at normally speeds, and that is what I wanted and enjoy these days. I’ve pretty much stopped tracking my cars and now doing long road trips with my buddies, so the GTS will fit the bill perfectly.

Also, my kids ride with in the GTS which is a big plus, they are 11 and 7. In the GT3 with buckets it wasn’t really an option for me.

So far so good.

Congratulations on your new GTS! As others have already said, I am sure you will love your car and the joy that driving this ultimate street 911 will bring you every day, will far outlast the memory of whatever price you paid! And don't feel any need to apologize for buying PDK. I felt that way before, and almost traded mine for a manual a year after purchase, but I track my car several times a year and instruct in Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis at COTA, and the PDK cars are simply so much faster, that I no longer would go back. The only way a manual makes sense is if you only drive it on the street. For what it's worth, I paid "all the money" for mine back in June 2017 - $83,000 CPO with 8,814 miles ($120,000 MSRP). As he was writing up my registration papers, the finance man at Porsche Colorado Springs asked me if I "got a good deal". I knew I was paying top dollar, but this was a 100% pristine car that ZI had been searching for over a year to find, and met all my requirements except being a manual. I told him "a good deal is a state of mine". I dont think he was expecting to hear that reply from me. Anyway, I daily drive my dream car and am closing in on 50,000 miles right now. And while I don't care about resale to the extent that I will never sell this car, my top dollar purchase price is no longer top dollar!

Enjoy your car, and drive it like Porsche intended!
