GTS Cars For Sale On The Web

You could take every reason given in that PDK advertisement and substitute Tesla.
It's faster, still engaging, better mpg, no missed shifts, you can daily it, eliminates the need for a dme, it's the future. Yep that describes s Tesla
I also agree that using Ferrari and Lamborghini is a bad analogy. Nobody drives those cars. Those are for rich guys to hang out with each other at cars and coffee events. 20,000 miles is super high mileage and depreciated. Ever see a 150,000 mile Ferrari? Me neither. We have all kinds of those here on these boards. Porsches are for driving, PDK or 6 speed (or 7) Ferraris are for sitting in your garage and wiping the dust off.

Do you have a VIN we can lookup?
This also has the rear seat delete which is rare and super cool.

997 canon and facts to date state that no Carrera left the factory without a sunroof. Unless we need to change our fact list, this must have had the sunroof removed after purchase. There are a couple of interior mods so wouldn't surprise me if the PO had it removed.

No sunroof is standard for Japan too as people don't prefer it unlike US.
VIN number is not disclosed in Japanese market unless otherwise you directly contact to a seller. It's strange though.

Rear seat delete was standard for Japan model GTS but many added rear seat as no cost option.

Yeah, rear seat delete and alcantara interior were indeed announced as standard on the GTS, internationally. Most people (dealer decision) ordered the rear seat added in, and a large number also ordered the free ($0) "deletion of alcantara package".

It was one of those revelation moments for me (that took a few instances to knock me over the head with it),... as I was searching for my car, and seeing all the alcantara in the pictures, and then actually seeing it in person, I did not think I was a fan. .... then I sat in, drove, and handled the steering wheel of alcantara,... and now I love it. Now I would not have my car without it, but when I was searching I was trying to avoid it. not too often do I think I would hate something, only to be flipped over & end up loving it. And I'm a guy who runs hot during the summer, and thought I would hate alcantara inserts,.... turns out I love it (caveat I have the sofa 18-ways, and like how they hold me in tight to the seat,... whereas so many friends were saying I'd need the LWBS to feel them hugging me in the turns).
I'm a convert.

@Prairiedawg I used to say the same thing about Ferrari and Lamborghini owners, as well as some much more harsh things, but I have to say, in the last 10 years or so, since the Huracan came to market, many Lamborghini owners do in fact daily their cars, and track them. I know many, and always see a bunch at any track event. Ferrari owners however, remain the same.

Ok, I agree there are exceptions to every rule but my point still stands.
Daily a 458 three miles each way? Talk about an abusive relationship. I wouldn't want to do that to my Toyota.

Here’s a PCAR auction ending soon that might reflect the value added (or not) of a 997 GTS vice a 997.2 Carrera S.
The fact that it is a 6MT RWD Coupe makes it a particularly relevant comparison to the higher auction valuations of that configuration.
Well optioned, maintained and presented. Still, a narrow body with no X51 power kit, nor centerline wheels.
Curious to see the hammer price on this one later today.
27K-mile PCAR 2011 997.2 S
EDIT:
RNM at $74K, seller wants $90K minimum. No sale.
Edit #2: Car sold for $81K post auction, that's $85,050 all in.
