Default 997.2 GTS 77,995 Thoughts

This car has been for sale for a while but pricing seems right. May take a look at it. Any thoughts on why it hasn’t moved. I don’t think the mileage is too high but def higher than current offering. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Not the expert here, but seems a bit high given the mileage and the fact it is PDK. If it were 6MT I consider it a bit of a bargain at this price. It certainly wouldn’t be sitting.

63K mile PDK with nice full leather for $78K...link is in the post above.

As 8K posted, while hard to say what prevents a sale...mileage is higher, PDK, maybe a CarFax blemish or a story.
It does appear to be in pristine condition. Especially the leather.

If it sells for that or close then the Aqua Blue Aerokit car is definitely worth more than $80-85k like I said.

Edit: I forgot that the Aqua Blue has 45k miles. I stand by my previous amateur, peanut gallery valuation.

Honestly, I would not even buy it if it was priced 10k less than their asking price just because I am not fan of PDK. So I think it was priced right. I would think it will won't sell if it is priced more than this

Based on recent sales, that car will definitely bring close to the $101.5 USD he is asking. Importing to the US adds a 3% duty, IIRC. (Less than the BaT fee would cost a buyer at that price.)

Perfect spec, IMO, and less than 30K miles.

The miles are a decrement, and the SW, intake filter and detector mods are pluses or at least price neutral.

I am guessing this spec and condition will fetch $85-90K at auction. It’s a driver, not a queen; but GTSs with ***, PDLS and great overall condition, coupled with 6MT and RWD, have recently brought big $.

This could turn some buyers off though:
An additional set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires is also said to accompany the sale.
Maybe or maybe not but suggests the car may have spent some time on the track. Not necessarily a deal breaker for me but it is for some. Some track cars are in great condition with no abuse. Others driven hard with a lot of track time, not so much. A good PPI including the obvious DME readout should give some insight on this.

If you really think about it, there is no reason to be leery of a car just because the owner gave it track time. These cars actually need to be run hard - ask any Porsche tech. It is actually bad for one of our cars to sit and not get regular use. What is bad, are over revs, road rash and bent rims, all things that any poor driver can do on the street, and which I have never done in my 911s on the track. In fact I get over 15,000 miles on my PS4S’s and they wear completely evenly, even with frequent hard use at COTA. I can assure you there is no mechanically or cosmetically better GTS out there. I daily drive her and get her on track several times a year. I flush the brake fluid before each track weekend, change the oil every 5,000 and after every track weekend, have my dealer check and re-torque my center locks before and after every track weekend, don’t hit high curbs and don’t run up behind other cars to get track debris thrown at me. Get a DME report and PPI. A car that has been well maintained is easy to verify. Consumables like brake pads and tires are supposed to be used and replaced! Whenever I see an ad for a car like ours that touts “never been tracked”, I feel bad both for the car and for the driver. Porsche. There is no substitute.
