long time lurker and I think I did post my intro message when I picked up my ’12 4GTS Cabrio 6MT with 23k miles on PCARmarket in Oct 2020 for $65k. Nicely spec’d $129k MSRP. I was hoping I’d see more in the $100k range because I want to upgrade (or downgrade, based on the opinions of some my peers here, lol!) simply because race car, lol! Coming from a high revving S54 for almost 14 years, I feel like our redlines are too low! Taking a Mezger to 8,400 rpm screaming down an on ramp is my goal in life now lol. Monitoring both markets very closely!
my car was actually one of the ones that showed up in that classic.com, in NY. Anyway, nice to meet everyone on here!
Stalker, you wouldn’t happen to be from Toronto, would you?!
Á propos to nothing aside from a 997 GTS appearing throughout the video...I found it incredibly entertaining.
Great editing, location scenery and 4 badass dudes who run, jump, tumble and climb like gazelles.
Very cool and really well done. thank you for sharing.

I, personally, would not buy the black one. A partial matte wrap (?!?) precludes a paint evaluation and the interior is really rough in every wear area. Even with documented maintenance, it has 122K miles of daily use. The front lip is badly repaired after the owners wife damaged it along with a front wheel.
Your white one will likely be sold by then, but both cars will test the value of a high mileage, RWD PDK coupe in today’s marketplace.
Out of curiosity from everyone here, thoughts on what the black one sold for on BaT?

Given today’s market and BaT premium, which I believe sets the high end of the market, I think it was slightly overpriced given the mileage. Have to balance the stories with fact it was a one-owner car that seemed to care for it decently well.
Thoughts?
It was a high mileage example with a weird wrap job. Poorly repaired damage and good maintenance records.
I wouldn't have paid that for it, nor bought it at any price to keep for myself...but the market has spoken.
It's worth $69.3K to someone.

I believe the person asking is the buyer. As long as you are happy with it then that's all that matters. At least you can drive it til the cows come home, without any mileage worries.
Have fun with it and welcome.
Dec 4 at 2:48 PM Sold on 12/4/21 for $66,000 to Greasem0nkey86

That someone is the person who posted above you lol.
That's nice looking car but definitely very expensive in my opinion

Fully agree with your synopsis, found it funny lol. The GTS driver taking himself so seriously lol, maybe he was being ironic or maybe not. Chalk it up to “those French” lol. Vive la france!
Did a Google search trying to find the mileage on this car but can't find it. Thought I would keep my GTS forever but at these prices it's getting tempting to sell. Question of course is what to get as the replacement. Good money selling but you'll end up paying equally good money for what's next. So I don't know that it makes any sense selling at these off the chart prices if you want to continue driving a 997.
Given the asking price, I'm still curious about the mileage on this car though if someone can find it.
