For what it's worth, I purchased the Nav SD card, had the new PCCM Plus unit professionally installed, and the installer could not install the Nav SD card maps. The PCCM Plus unit did not recognized the SD card when installed and when ejected, the PCCM Plus claimed that it found the SD card (which was not inserted) and when prompted to install the maps, return another error message claiming the maps could not be installed.
There are 2 potential causes:
The SD Card is damaged
The PCCM Plus unit SD reader is faulty, which would mean replacing the unit.
I am in the process of contacting the Porsche dealer where I purchased the Nav SD card to determine next steps. I will keep this forum posted on responses or options provided.

A quick trouble shooting tip if you haven't tried it already: Go into the Car menu and do a factory reset with the SD card removed. Then power it back up, click on either Navigation or Maps, and see if you get the appropriate message "SD Card not Installed" message. If you receive that message, then try installing the SD card, metal contacts facing up as previously mentioned, give it a second then try to open Navigation or Maps again. I'm thinking a good ol' fashion reboot/factory reset may be the ticket. At least I hope it is that easy for you. Keep us posted.
997/987 PCCM+ is now available to order on our site! Part # 997-642-591-00 in our PCCM+ section here, and on special for a limited time at $1295 shipped within the lower 48!
***Please note - Porsche has already indicated that only 3 units per dealer until supply is normalized, so we'll fill orders first come, first served. After the first 3, we don't know when Porsche will lift the allocation limit, so orders will go onto a back-ordered status until more stock arrives.

for those who have gotten their nav to work with the SD card...
- does the turn by turn show up without any issues on the instrument cluster?
- does the radio station RDS info show up on the instrument cluster?
- if streaming BT music from the phone, does that show up as well?
and while i doubt it, does any of the carplay or android auto info when running waze/android Auto music apps (spotify, audible etc) - does ANY of this info show up on the instrument cluster when running in carplay/AA?
Just left a VM for Porsche Silver Spring parts. I want an SD card for 997 PCCM plus. Do you have those available?
Available to order on our site here (last item on page), but currently in transit to the US at this time. (eta is showing early Feb for these)
PS - Please email, PM, or message through our site for any correspondence - we don't have a direct line to our internet parts division as we correspond 100% online. TIA!
**Update**
The first 3 997 PCCM+'s we'll receive have now been sold - all new orders will be filled as future inventory is unblocked and filled by Porsche. Thanks for your business and support!

Yes I removed it.
I checked with PIWIS for error reports. None found

I am doing this install in my 987…where does one find that antenna to bypass? Trying to determine the location from your picture - and also wondering if it could be in a different spot in the 987?
Seems that everything is working except radio reception, which I assume is because I havent found the module to bypass the antenna yet.
Thanks!

In my 997 it is mounted on top of the tunnel toward the firewall with the wire connections on the passenger side. Pull the carpet back from over the tunnel and unplug the two wires and install the bypass.
Okay, mines in and running. Random thoughts, as mentioned earlier by Craig the black and grey main screen is boring ugly! Playing with the sound not sure where I will end up, the new unit is certainly louder than the old one but I'm not ready to say better. I have streamed music from my phone to it and comparing it to my Mr12v junk it is certainly better(best part of the install was ripping the old Mr. out!) Phone I will try later when driving. Do not like the fact that you can't turn it off it seems as the volume button doesn't do it like the old one, just mute is all I found for now. Need to download the manual.
With real bluetooth I'm a lot happier but $1,341 is a little steep...... does look more modern than the old phone pad Will see if I get more impressed but I needed modern bluetooth badly so it was a must do.
Did you get a chance to test the Nav? I am also thinking of placing the GPS antenna on the shelf next to the control module

No, I did not get a card for the nav and now that I know Texas is not on it I'm not sure when I will? It's up on the shelf waiting to be tested but with no card I tried the apps and they would only say no card.
Stephen or Craig. I will drive to either of your houses to bring an ssd NAV card to test if maps work. Porsche now is thinking it might be PCM related. I still think it’s maps ssd card not having TX on it. I need to test on another PCCM that is in Texas. Either of you up for it tomorrow. I’ll buy lunch. Fritz
