I did mine as the car came with Aluminium trim as standard and the PCCM+ did not match and was too dark.
23 screws of 2mm with Torx head. Be slow and methodical and take lots of pictures. Silver Alu 03 then clear coat. Make sure it is very dry before reassembly and take care with the buttons and switches.
Question for anyone whose car didn't originally come with PCM but have since installed PCCM...does setting the time on the PCCM also update the time in the instrument cluster or do you still need to manually set the cluster time?
As indicated above, the instrument cluster clock is set via the head unit. Press the “car” button under the screen and you’ll get to it easily. I set my manually.

Yeah, mine doesn't. I know how to set the time on the PCCM but it doesn't change the time in my cluster. Did your car originally come with PCM or the CDR24 (no screen)? The CDR24 didn't have a separate clock AFAIK so the car may not be setup to sync without PCM, or maybe there's an issue with mine.
Since you have an aftermarket amp, you can drive it directly from the low level signal output from the PCCM unit, that the previous units did not have before. The low level L & R signals come out of the 12 pin connector where the MOST box would be connected. Aftermarket amps have no need for the MOST box converter, as the purpose of the MOST box is to take the analog signal and convert it to a fiber optic signal for a MOST amp. You do this by building a custom 12 pin connector with RCA outputs direct to the L & R output of the unit. See below.
Circled in red below is the above connector with the RCA output that drive my aftermarket amps directly into their low level input, without the need to drive them from the brown speaker level output, which would normally require signal attenuation. This also bypasses the internal amplifier of the unit, or a cleaner output signal.
This is great info - I have a non-Bose system. Is there a way to tap into the factory speaker wiring harness without cutting wires when running an aftermarket amplifier?
I just installed my PCCM+ in my 08 turbo with bose Everything is great accept the FM reception. I went looking for the radio antenna module to bypass in the front left side of the passenger footwell as per the instructions and I cant find it. Anyone know if I am looking in the right place?

Thanks
It’s in the passenger side on left hand drive cars
i had to move the Bose subwoofer out of the way to get at it. Need the peel the carpet down a bit
Thanks for the reply. It's super frustrating because it works fine for a while and then shuts off. I think it's more the phone than the unit, just going by things I've found on google and reddit, even with other car brands.
just ordered iPhone 15 today. I hope it doesn’t screw up my PCCM+
My PCM is finally arriving tomorrow from Exclusive Option… beyond excited!
Sharing some pics for those wondering what a leather covered PCM+ looks like.
hopefully will have time to do the install this weekend
Did you buy the unit through them or ship it to them? Did you have to do any prep work yourself beforehand or did they handle everything?
I would have to get mine painted to match but seems like I'd have to remove and reinstall the bezel myself.
Looks great though.

I had them source it as it was sold out everywhere a few months ago. But in the past they do all the prep work on my previous parts or they have cores and you ship back the oem pieces after you install the leather ones
