there's no problem doing a rwd Tip, have done it, just currently no LSD's on the market to take it to the next level

Seems like a bit of a waste without an LSD.

he loved it, livens up the chassis not having the awd dragging around...reinstalled it for the next owner though 'sense of security'

Someone, awhile back, renewed the investigation into whether or not they could do a run of LSDs for the tip... Wonder what happened, never heard another word about it.

Did you remove the whole front diff or just disconnect the drive shaft? I've read conflicting things such as if you remove the front differential you will need to adjust the front suspension to compensate for the lack of weight on the front axle.

I picked it up and spoke to suppliers. Only 1 was interested in trying to develop something. I have found a spare TIP to be used for development, it’s just super expensive to ship to the UK so I haven’t gotten any further. It’s honestly less to find a 6 speed and do the conversion.

I asked Matt @ Guard a while back as well and no interest/expected business value in it, surprised Wavetrac or similar hasn't just popped one out
same procedure, the front diff is quite light, for a street car I'd say no adjustment needed far as height goes, we didn't need to.... performance/track maybe adjust just to ensure weight corner balance
Is the procedure any different for a tip compared to the 6 speed?

Apparently quaife made one for the 964 tiptronic at one point. Wonder if it would fit or how similar the older tiptronic trans are to the new ones?
