Installed a new exhaust.
This replaced an older Markski unit that I bought used off this forum. I was looking for less drone and cats that were functioning more reliably. The cats in the older exhaust were slowly getting worse and it was getting harder to get all the ready monitors set without tossing a CEL. Emission is due this year so I chose a new exhaust over replacing just the cats / cheat devices.
Seems that cold start is louder. Normal driving and midrange sounds a little better. Drone seems a little better but I was hoping for none. Maybe I've just never experienced bad drone to properly set my expectations? This one is not as raucous up top. I will miss the party at redline but it is probably better for my hearing and the sanity of everyone within a 1 mile radius. This one is 3 inches all the way through. Had to give up the factory tips but the staggered double tips fill the odd shaped cutouts fairly well.

thanks man, ive actually emailed him before. still up in the air between this or a kline..
Im willing to bet a 2.5 inch would be a bit quieter / less drone?
do you hear the turbo spool with that exhaust? I had the rear interior out and was able to hear it on my car (stock exhaust) but i hear no spool now so im hoping to hear some when i upgrade lol

I can hear the turbos from < 2.5K to somewhere between 3 and 4K. I don't think I could hear them with the prior exhaust. Above 4K, wind, exhaust, etc. drown things out.
With any of the exhausts, including stock, I can also hear the recirculating valves on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts when not at WOT and building partial boost.
In terms of drone, I have k24s, so I'm working against that. I'm also super sensitive about noise so I'm not a good measuring stick to use.

...are the silencers missing on this pic?

If you don't want drone, switchable is the way to go. This was £1500 in the UK from topgear, the owners there have a very good reputation and not expensive. Open it's a straight through 3" and I've got it controlled through the syvecs as well as a button.
Quite a big thread on 911uk with many happy owners. The owners used to own or run of the other big exhaust manufacturers so the quality is there.
